People need to be careful when looking at the current "hot" coordinators who are experiencing big success in the moment. Look at the talent they have in their unit. With this guy, remember he doesn't get to bring Lamar with him.

JJ wants Garrett. It went from Super Bowl to now an NFCCG appearance for Garrett to be resigned. He lowered the bar even further.

I'm up for it. Definitely an improvement over The bust non winner Ginger. Let's just grab most of their coordinaters as well cause all of ours can take a cliff ride with Jerry driving the short bus.

Jerry has been dropping hints lately that his mindset is leaning towards someone with NFL experience. I wouldn't be too surprised if someone like Greg Roman or Ron Rivera were likely to be considerations, with that being the case. Since he's been commenting about the college coaches having a low percentile of early success being inaugurated into the NFL as head coaches, it's really a valid and historically-proven fact. Whoever that candidate turns out to be, I'd say he'd best be a very patient guy, as well. ;)

Well hopefully Philly beats us on Dec 22nd and makes which round of the playoffs Garrett has to get to a moot point.;)

And yeah, I would take Roman over Clappy.............obvious upgrade, not even debatable.

Not at all. He certainly could get the most of this offense in which we invested a ton in the o-line to be a power running team.

not sure how Roman would work under the watchful eyes of the ownership group - they meddle way too much to the point of being oppressive....also, as many have said, Dak is not the athlete/runner that the Ravens have with Lamar....but, while I am intrigued by Kellen Moore, I am not sure if I give up on him just yet - but if Roman came as an OC (why would he, I know), then you have my attention

IMO, Moore did exactly what a good team should do against bad teams in the first 3 games, beat them up offensively - but it looked to me like they became vanilla in week 4 - the beginning of games were TOO scripted - teams caught up and it seemed like that there were too many times that Dallas struggled mightily in the beginning of games and became more dynamic in the 2nd half, closing big gaps - that screams to me that Garrett, in trying to prove that he could coach, tried to get control of the offense back at the beginning of games and then let Moore take back over after the scripted plays were done

Conspiracy theory? perhaps
Pants can't stand Garrett? perhaps
Pants wants a change right now (before next kickoff)? yes, do it

Prefer a defensive person but Roman would be ok. Would Roman be allowed to hire his own offensive staff or is he hamstrung like the current HC to keeping Moore?

What exactly would he design here that would be so great? I'm sure it would be better than what we have, but Dak isn't in Jackson's universe as an athlete. RG3 is twice the athlete Dak is, and that offense looked completely different -- meaning terrible -- as soon as he came in the game.
Expecting him to come in and replicate what he has done in previous stops would be a bit of a project in terms of changing the offensive personnel and the blocking schemes. Remember, the Ravens drafted Jackson, along with two TEs in premium rounds. That would mean a commitment to upgrading the talent to fit the scheme. This team needs to repair the defense in a big way, it would be foolish to bite off more than they could chew.

I'm not a big fan of Baltimore's offense. I mean, yeah, it's been effective this year and it works with their QB but, it's also going to get Jackson killed eventually. Jackson is unique among NFL QBs. You don't see that type of talent at that position very often and that's why he is not on the shelf right now IMO. However, it's only a matter of time and Jackson will be out of the NFL. You just can't take the hits and the way you pay QBs in the NFL, this style of Offense will not work for long. Same will happen with Baltimore. At some point, they are going to have to pay this kid and when that happens, lets see what Baltimore does. I don't see them shelling out 40 a year over 6 or 8 years but that's what it will take. They are going to make a business decision and go get a young QB to replace Jackson with IMO. They are going to cycle the rookie contract at the position until they have a guy who is more of a Pro Style throwing QB who can be a franchise. That's what I see happening. That won't work in Dallas because Jerry is all about signing Dak for 10 years etc. No, I don't really like that Offense here for long term results associated.

My first though was meh.......but............after reading some people's posts (that made some solid points) and thinking about it, he could be a great candidate.

Truth be told I'm going to be excited to see ANYBODY else but Garrett as head coach. haha

I think they've already decided on Meyer but would anybody be opposed to Raven's OC Greg Roman?
What did he do with Flacco? I hate hiring a oc just because the offense finally found a QB. Romo forced Garrett upon us for a miserable 10 years.
