NO ONE loves mediocrity. What people get weary of is nonstop, 24/7, end-of-the-world doom and gloom whining over something that’s supposed to be fun.

Hard to be fun when 19 of the last 24 seasons have been not good. Lol

What this team is missing is strong leadership from the top. Jerry is a good businessman and salesman but when it comes to the roster, on the field decisions, etc, we need a strong HC like we had with Jimmy. Full control of personnel, coaching staff, the locker room, etc. And final say on anything related to player discipline.

When Jimmy and Jerry worked together, they were a complimentary team. Jerry was a good balance to Jimmy and vice-versa. Jerry needs to have a strong leader for the locker room and player side. His optimism and risk taking is good sometimes, but he needs a balance of discipline and strength that he doesn’t possess.
That’s all this is about Bob,Jerry’s personality and how much he’s willing to compromise stepping back a bit more. Very strong egos and finding the balance to that. Players keep going to Jerry as the final team sayer. Players need to know HC is boss and if you’re not cutting the mustard he can cut you anytime. If nothing else, just giving the staff that roster authority sets a more professional mindset. You want your team a tiny bit scared they can be cut. Jimmy loved doing that as a built in psych motivator..it works too. Bill in NE same thing...pay attention do your job and be on time.

Really miss that guy, my favorite Dallas QB, no offense to Roger

Good point. But Roger didn't have to deal with a sub par coach. In my opinion, I never had a favorite Cowboys QB. I liked Troy, Roger, and White all the same. Even Tony to some extent. Guys that really put it all out there.

True. Neither has been very successful without the other

This team isn’t a team. It’s a collection of some talented guys mixed with a bunch of JAGs. That’s doesn’t a team make.

This team misses three things

Heart
Leadership
Smarts

other than that they have a championship team.
Unfortunately the three things they need can’t be taught.

Disagree. Unless you're saying they are missing this from the top, then I agree!!!
