This looked the real Zeke Jerry paid all the money to. He ran hard and made them miss and pushed the pile. He actually looked like he was lighter, quicker and in better condition . Now if he would lose the "feed me".

Hope Zeke runs all over Philly next week as well, and receiving as well.
He has been playing and running hard the last few games. This time the rest of the team and the defenses decided to play also.

All they have to do is hand him the ball. Quit abandoning the run and he will get it done with this O-Line...

Elliott's drive and effort can't be questioned. He brings it every play. And he was certainly not the reason why the team was losing. When the defense was giving up scores, it gave these coaches all the reason they needed to abandon the run, which they do at the first sign of adversity.

But Zeke was awesome yesterday and the flow of the game kept him in it.

The Zeke-Pollard duo is going to be dangerous going forward. They keep each other fresh.

This is the same Zeke we saw against both Buffalo and Chicago.
The only difference is, they kept giving him the ball this game instead of going pass happy the minute the Rams tied it at 7.

This is the recipe for Cowboys victories.
Tough, physical run game, Dak is more of a complementary player than the focus.
When Zeke carries the majority of the load the entire team is better.

We are not a Super Bowl team by any means but we are a lot better team when we use the formula we saw yesterday.
it was fun to watch, for sure.

Zeke hurt this team by holding out and I resent that. He was subpar early in the season and it got the offense into bad habits. He’s coming around though.

I think many people miss the truth here. Yesterday's performance by Zeke (yes, the line was fantastic too but just talking about Zeke) was a masterpiece. Statistically, looked good but not masterpiece. But its the hidden beauty that needs to be appreciated. His runs for 3-4 yards where he is twisting, squirming & pushing the pile keep the offense on pace. I don't think there is another back in the league that will just keep hitting it like Zeke. They will hit it a few times then shrink.

The plays where there appears to be no hole but somehow he slithers thru. Keeping his balance while being hit and keeps going forward. Those are beautiful. The fact that they don't make highlight reels doesn't diminish their true value. Early in the game when he had trucked the LB's\Safeties a couple times you could already see their will to take him on straight up fading.

I love Pollard and a lot of other backs in this league but they ain't doing these things play after play.

I agree with every word of this. Now if only Zeke could break a 60+ -yard runs.....

This was and still is Zeke's offense!
Since 2016 this is the law baby!
Problems start when he is boxed and stopped hence our shortcomings from glory.

......and they were bat-crap crazy when they only rushed Zeke 12 times against Buffalo. He was averaging 6 yards per carry

Great post. Don’t know which word fits when describing Zeke if using desire or motivation. Or in some cases maybe the line’s inability to match previous years point of attack dominance.

But what you describe here, referred to as the “dirty yards” is why I always thought he was the best too. Those zero, one and two yard gains that are somehow turned into four and five are his masterpiece.

His pass blocking is a notch above all runners as well.

BUT...Not to be all sunshine and rainbows, I must admit I would like to see his 2016 burst return.
AND for overall consistency.

Remember when Randy Moss said back in the day, how did it go, something like, I do take plays off or I play hard when I want to.

I think Zeke has a little bit of that in him at times too. I want max effort all the time.

Again, great post though.

You have to realize it was the real offense of line also

You can’t win with just a passing game or running game it’s a combination it’s a team sport. But Elliot definitely made a difference last week. Finally the offense of line played smash mouth

Imagine if Cooper Roche was the quarterback. I don’t care how Great Elliot is. We lose. Give credit to the offense not just one player
