Garrett stopped his clapping, anyone notice that?

The clapping has nothing whatsoever to do with winning or losing, just like blue or white jerseys have no control on a game’s outcome. Just another stupid superstition fixated upon by those that think it validates their disdain.
I did not say anything about winning or losing, and this thread isnt about making fun of his clapping.
It is about his reaction to being made fun of for it by the fox pre-game people.
So are they validating their disdain too?

My point was why would he stop something he likes doing, just because he is being mocked for it?
He tells his players to ignore the noise, yet here with this he doesnt ignore the noise, and there are other examples of his doing or not doing something after media mocks or criticizes him for it.

This all speaks to the type of person he is.

If pete carroll was made fun of for his gum chewing, do you think he would stop ? I dont think so.
Belicheck has been made fun of for his stoic behavior, and he continues to be the same.

Clapping is just what he does—like Saban’s clapping or Carroll’s gum chewing. What makes you think he stopped? Even if he did, maybe it’s just a funny little annoying thing, the fact that SO MANY people are hung up on something so dumb. Why is it a character flaw to react in some benign way to something so repetitive and consistently dumb? People try too hard to be offended. Isn’t a slightly above
mediocre record of 84-66 bad enough for a team accustomed to more?

Last week fox made fun of his clapping, a video by their comedy guy, and aired it before the chicago
game.
I dont remember him clapping in chicago game, and I watched him during the rams game and no clapping on camera anyway.
I bet it is driving him crazy wanting to clap but he cant, like a smoker who wants a cig, but cant.
He looked miserable during the game. I wonder how long he can go without clapping now?

Now me, screw the video, if I wanted to clap , I would keep doing it, but JG reacts to whatever
is said about him.
Like the 4th down, they said he should have went for it, and next game he just starts going for it.
And one time on his own 20 which was really stupid.

BS, he was clapping Sunday

He'll be in the rearview mirror. Just a matter of time.

I do not get you guys.

You scream about not winning enough and not beating teams with winning records.

Then Garrett delivers both in one win.

Now his clapping is a joke, etc.

Wow.

I think you guys are good fans but a little too caught up in yourselves to be thinking you are actually affecting coaches and players behavior.

Sheesh.

:lmao2:

I'm not mocking his clapping. I was explaining the problem some people had with it...

But one win...ONE good win isn't enough to wipe away the bad coaching and performance of the rest of the season. We'll see how the rest goes.

I saw him clap at least once last game. I know because I told someone else we here call him “the clapper” the moment he clapped

Having a problem with Garrett clapping has got to be the dumbest thing on the planet. What’s the alternative stand there with your arms hanging straight down ?I just don’t get it.
It's not the clapping per se.

It's the fact that the claps basically timestamp the most soul-crushing, and rainbow-like variety of in-game Dallas Cowboys football disaster scenarios over the past ten seasons.

...LOL...Actually at some point during the Rams game I did notice...I even remember muttering to myself..."He's not clapping!?"....anyway, maybe that's why they won the game so convincingly...

When you stand on the sideline with a blank 1000 yard stare, wear a head set and seemingly don’t say a word, and offer nothing more than a congratulatory high-five to players coming off the field, incessantly clapping mindlessly is going to stand-out.

He stopped that several weeks ago............now he spits and plays with his headset.........like it's really turned on.

I swear, I have never seen him talking into that headset one single time.

I watch the Ravens play and Harbaugh wont shut up with the headset on, dude barely takes a breath and just talks the entire dam game and he doesn't even stop to listen to somebody respond, lol, he just keeps talking.

Garrett? I have not seen him say a word the entire season, just moves the mic and spits and then readjust it. Just weird, seriously.

The problem with Garrett is clapping all the time...…...good play, start clapping...…….bad play, start clapping...…..winning, losing, just clap.

Almost no other coach in the pros or even college does this, just clap at everything no matter what......that is why the national media makes fun of him and FOX did a parody of him.

There's no problem at all with clapping if you're winning. It's how Garrett would continue clapping even when the team was in miserable shape and losing, that drove fans bonkers.

Exactly, is the "when" that is the problem.

When you are getting your arse kicked by the sorry arse Bears, you should not be clapping, you should be chewing arse, getting in people's faces, getting down on your knees and having a talk with your offense or defense, you should be benching some guys and sending in some guys off the bench, you should be doing something besides clapping!!!!
