For some strange reason, the last six (6) days have almost had the feeling of a Super Bowl week for Cowboys fans. That being said, I am getting REALLY scared that The Clapping Carrot has already lifted off his coffin lid and has already swung one leg out of it....due to ONE victory. What The Flip??? I am scared to death on what may happen should we win tomorrow, and God forbid win a WC game...bottom line, is be awfully careful what you wish for in cheering on "your boys" tomorrow. I am still nervous as hell about what a couple of meaningless wins could mean....especially if Jerrah senses that some of the blind sheep are starting to let up on The Clapping Carrot. Bottom line, is we need to lose tomorrow and remove ALL DOUBT in Jerrah's mind, because his actions can simply not be trusted. Going over to the dark side, and sacrificing one more season is not going to kill us...we ain't winning any Super Bowl this year....so smarten the hell up people!!!.

Prior to this year I said NFCCG or bust. The way this year has unfolded I feel he should be gone either way but I stand by what I said. It pains me to say it but if he gets there I would be fine with another year or two max. @Ranching probably hates me now.

Good post , that is what I see.
The only thing is I dont know if philly is up to the task of beating any team much less the cowboys.
The other thing is even if phil wins, if they lose to the giants the following week dallas still takes div.
I think that is the better scenario though than beating phil.

I also think dallas beat a very weak and tired team in the rams, and they think they beat a good team, and so does everyone else.
We all know Phil isnt very good this year, so hard to depend on them to play a good game.
It will be interesting game though.

That’s why Jerry has to wear depends... wait, what?
Asthma--that was funny...i heard my pharmacist ask this old man once...Hey how do you like being an adult and wearing diapers?...the man replied..."Depends"

Lets be realistic. A NFC chamionship game appearance aint happening. Garrett will be gone, and another puppet will take his place.

I'm as ready for Garrett to move on as anyone but all the mouth breathers that think anything is actually going to change or get better once he's out the door are as dense as a bucket of lead.

One puppet replaces another. Yaaaaaaaayy.

i don’t believe that but at least it’s better than bringing him back if he wins the wild card game or some thing. should be super bowl or nothing...he’s had a decade to make it to the nfccg.

Exactly as he knows nothing but throwing it to see what sticks.

....if you watched the locker room speech, while Garrett was talking. You can see Jones in the background with this nonchalant face. On the whims of, "yeah, heard that before". ..lol..

So I would take this as grain of salt.

I believe only a Super Bowl appearance guarantees a contract extension. An NFC Championship loss isn't a break through. It's what should have happened a few times with Garrett, Wade Phillips, and one could argue even The Tuna's last year.

Jerry is reaching 80. It's now or never.

That is why I dubbed a possible division round game as the "Garrett Bowl".

Another way of saying that he has to get to the NFC game is that he must win the divisional round for the first time in the Cowboys last 25 years. It hurts just to type this.

That is the next incremental improvement in his career but an argument can be made that, after ten seasons, he owes us more for our patience.

Jimmy Johnson's Cowboys made a triple jump in their 4th season, when things just seemed to come together. This season is anything but that. Yep, Jimmy's team went from losing the divisional round in 1991 to winning division, NFC and SB in 92.

Obviously the circumstances were different but after ten seasons the Cowboys should already be past the point of winning a division playoff and settling for nothing but the Super Bowl. So, I want Jason to succeed, always have, but in all fairness, I think the majority of fans felt like this was the season to cash in on the Process.

It is true for every franchise that there is always the point were the process involves starting over again. Unless this season includes more than surpassing the wretched results of the past quarter century, I cannot make a convincing argument to maintain the status quo.

This would by no means be an indictment against Jason Garrett. The real story involves a Head Coach with limited power and an inability to utilize the philosoohy he had described in 2011. While he envisioned a modernized Corryel passing offense, a "committee" selected players more compatible to a running offense

If this should be Garrett's last season as a Cowboy, I suspect it wouldn't be the last time we hear from him in this league.

Huh??? Do you mean to tell me that he has limited power in making in game decisions and adjustments....as Jerrah would say, "Cut the crap!"

Do people actually think Jerry Jones is leaking stuff like this to Rapoport?

Probably. Jerry is an entertainer. Likes to keep in the news. It's good for the bottom line.

I wouldn't put it past him to have signed a new contract with Garrett in the spring, and telling him "But I'll be making a big show of possibly dumping you this year. Drama is good for business. Just play along."
