I thought of this when I heard Garrett said his players need a breather when they play a few plays..Lost to a team with half their offense out. embarrassing.

For those of us who saw it...we may never see something so courageous again. John Madden himself was taken with that performance. Everything was about the moment...into the breach to insure that the team got a much needed rest before launching into the second season.
What gets on my nerve more than anything is that Garrett was a part of those teams. He got to see championship football at ground zero...and yet it seems he learned nothing.
The sooner he is gone (along with a few others), the sooner the franchise can make a much needed fresh start.
