my hunch is Philly will lose and we will get beat..no matter who we start. The skins have been playing well over the last 3 weeks.

Your claim that Dak is operating in better circumstances than Romo is completely laughable, among them that Dak plays under Garrett. Romo player with Garrett officially calling the plays. Romo wasn’t even allowed in game planning. Dak NEVER did. Dak had the top 3 OL in the league, with four all pro linemen and the best RB in the league, while Romo had journeymen OL that was over-rated trash. Julius Jones Dan behind Romo, Dak has Zeke. Romo saw deep 2 cover zone all day because defenses feared his arm, while defenses dare Dak to beat them with single coverage, one deep safety.

Getting to the playoffs under Quincy Carter was ONE year. In year 4, when Parcells brought in his guys, Romo saved his JOB. They didn’t even switch to a 3-4 by then. The only reason the Cowboys lost your Seattle is because of Parcells ridiculously absurd conservative game plan to not attack Seattle’s third string CBS.

In fact, the fruits of the 2016 season were in fact, built on the concepts implemented by Romo when Jerry completely banished Garrett from playcalling in 2014,

Your post is the most inaccurate post ever written on this forum.

Dak would have won 1 game under the same circumstances as Romo. Your post is like comparing Rush with the third stringers and practice squad in pre-season with Dak in pre-season with the first strong OL.

My point was Dak is operating in much worse circumstances than Romo which is why I said: "at least Romo was the benefactor of having Parcels as his head coach, who was allowed to hire his own staff."

It’s not going to matter to the folks who are going to hate Dak. If Jason Garrett is an incompetent coach (no doubt that he is) then this is all that Dak since coming into the NFL has known. Now is that his fault or the fault of the moron GM? I personally don’t even fault the players when they are operating in a franchise that is functionally flawed from the very top.

Excellent point! Organizational dysfunction is the cracked foundation of everything the Jones cartel build upon every season. Dak threw for over 4500 yds this season for goodness sakes. And Dak doesnt play defense, doesnt take plays off like the 90 million dollar man, and never misses games. He is managed by an off coordinator who looks 12 yrs old and has zero experience but I digress...

I think it’s time for quite a few Cowboys dampens to move on to another team.

Yea but to the folks who hate this kid, won’t care. They will sit there and say well why isn’t he like Patrick Mahomes? While ignoring why Dak Prescott does not have Andy Reid guiding him? Or they will claim that he isn’t close to Tom Brady, while ignoring what Brady has had his entire career in Bill Belichick. Somehow in a vacuum Dak Prescott needed to have developed into an Elite QB. Even though no QB in the history of the NFL has ever done that.

Time to move on from Dak. Jerry needs to jump out ahead of all the off season drama of the “to pay Dak or not Pay Dak BS.”

Move on. Let’s make it about football around here and not who gives good interviews. We will not get a good coach to come here if the worse player on our offense is the highest paid player on the team. The new coach is going to want to draft his guy or bring the free agent of his choice at about $9-10 million.

So why not go ahead and end the Dak offseason Saga and let Cooper Rush get a chance. Hell, might even find out he is capable enough to make the easy throws Dak gets praised for. Might find out if he is good enough to keep around to be the backup next year.

Move on from Dak? What are you basing this on? Would you consider Aikman a great quarterback? I think most would but look at the stats: Aikman's best year was 1992 statistically. He threw for 3445 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Dak is currently working on his best
season statistically. He has 4599 yards, 26 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. The biggest difference is that Aikman went 13-3 in 1992 and Dak will be 8-8 at best. I don't understand how people seem to keep putting the blame on Dak and saying things like we need to move on. Aikman never even sniffed the kind of passing yards Dak has achieved but we hoist Aikman up on our shoulders because he won 3 super bowls. Dak's worst year as far as passing yards would rank second in Aikman's career.

I’d agree with this post but not because of Dak being bad. Just think if Dak is banged up there is no reason for him to play hurt.

Was Aikman the guy that was widely considered the best player of his graduating year? Can’t remember if that was him or not.

No ... just, no ....

If you have a slim (very slim) chance to win the division, you take it.

I wonder how many Giant's fans were screaming to sit Eli in 2011 ?

And no, I do not think this team will win the division, but anything is possible.

At this point, just don't care. Put him in, sure.

You and me both. Only thing I know for sure is that increasing Daks pay will not make him be a decent QB and would cost us good players. Anybody who thinks dak deserves to get paid didn’t watch football this year

Sign me up for Eli on a one year contract with this team. We won’t be missing the playoffs that’s for sure
