Once again players win and lose games

Its weird how the players that win games always seem to play for good coaches...

these same players played for the same coach in 2016 and 2014 if you can win games and have good seasons under a coach once you can win with that coach.
I don't like Jerry's quotes, but he says it all the time if you see it once , you know they can do it.

It takes good coaching as well but the players need to take some accountability for executing their assignments and being responsible for their play and effort. Lately it’s been lacking - with these critical games this team should have been fired up yet we had no passion and played poorly.

Coaching removes ineffective players from the field and substitutes other players during games, even for a brief period. That is another responsibility for backups: to be ready to fill in.

Players are not tapping themselves out of the game unless they feel a little fuzzy in the head during a crucial down. It is the coaches’ job to get ineffective players off the field and give other players opportunities to execute the gameplan.

This is always about team sports. All phases of a sport bear responsibility. No one can diminish or eliminate fault from coaches for last Sunday’s loss and keep a straight face saying they can.

what's funny is the same ones disputing it, they're the ones who run around here and say he only had any success because of Romo, who's a player, or because he's had the talent, which are players...lol

Who gets the players ready and puts them in positions to win?

they put the gameplan together nobody ever disputed that. BUT NO PLAN WORKS UNLESS THE PLAYERS EXECUTE IT IN BETWEEN THE LINES. ALL GAMEPLANS ARE PUT TOGETHER TO WIN, IT'S THE ONES EXECUTED THE BEST ARE THE ONES THAT WIN. any coach or player will tell you that.

You need talent
But you need coaches who can get the most out of that talent
It takes both but good coaching can hide some lack of talent
coach ain't hiding lack of talent, because the same players have to execute to win. it all comes down to execution. it's why you here every player say it. not just here in Dallas but across the league.

The guy who loves distractions like these the most? This one.

Players come and go, coaches come and go, the Cowboys go nowhere and people are arguing whether it's the coaches or the players. But don't worry, Uncle Jerry will get you some new coaches and players soon. I'm sure he'll get it right this time.

The players can't "win or lose" when your idiotic offensive coordinator decides to sideline your number one receiver and your biggest threat in the slot on the final offensive play on 4th and 8 from the Eagles 23.

Please. Explain to me how this is the "players win or lose" that game?!

FIRE THE ENTIRE COACHING STAFF Jerry and be done with it it already.

come on dude
are u saying Shula, Landry, Belichick, Lombardi, Gibbs etc. were all just lucky and they just had good players? Landry was really lucky I guess for 20 years with his streak
yes players have to execute but good coaches know how to control the game. They know how to use the talent they have to exploit the weaknesses of their opponent and do it in a dynamic fashion as the game progresses. Garrett is comically inept at doing this. He (like Chip Kelly) just calls plays and expects the team to execute them no matter what the other team is doing/showing.
why is Belichick 12-3 with his team that isnt that strong but we're 7-8 with a team that preseason had experts saying we have top 4 talent (and we do). Why did Garrett have a team (2007?) that set a record for pro-bowl players do nothing in playoffs.
Do u think Garrett would be 12-3 with NE or Belichick 7-8 with our team?
why do u think the same coaches keep getting to the playoffs?
A great coach with a below average team will beat a bad coach with a good team 90% of the time.

Coaches who can adjust to adverse conditions, be it player drops, QB injuries, bad tackling, are the ones coaching in the playoffs this year, with the exception of the NFL East, of course, which is a mess. You don't continually have an injured QB throw the ball, you don't continue to have your RB run up the middle with 9 man fronts hoping the other team won't catch on. If I can sit at home and call the play before it even begins, that's on coaching.

Take that fourth and goal, you beef up the line, you don't defend it with huge gaps that a washing machine can walk through. That's on coaching. When you blitz a handful of times with a throwing QB who has no receivers, or you play off no name receivers like they have super powers, you are going to lose. So even if Dak completed the touchdown passes he missed, what makes David Helman think the defensive coaching would've held up? That fourth and goal play was egregious!

It's really not even arguable anymore, Jason Garrett is like a bad bad conductor of a great of orchestra. JG couldn't adjust his suit pants if they were draped around his ankle. Marinelli, like a fine wine, went stale this year, and Richard has probably checked out knowing his job is lost.

I have to go with Bill B on this one: great talent cannot overcome bad coaching! And that's Dallas to a tee. (But we know who the architects of this disaster really are, JJ, & SONS)

no amount of coaching changes this. the game was lost between the white lines

I hope you were as embarrassed posting this as I was reading it.
You would literally be laughed out of the room if you made this claim in a room full of football fans.

For the 800th time, Dak is injured. Sheeeeeez.
I still don't understand how Dak's "injury" can allow him to heave the ball downfield, overthrowing his receiver, and also cause him to throw behind the receivers on crossing routes. It's like his "injury" brought him back in time, back to when he used to do these things on a regular basis without any "injuries".

Coaching matters, but coaching isn't what made the QB miss throws, or receivers drop the ones that were on target. Coaching didn't fumble the ball away. Coaching didn't decide to kick the ball, rather than go for it on 4th...........Oh wait, yeah, coaching did do that.
