Once again players win and lose games

The NFL is a very competitive league. The worst players are really good at football and the worst coaches are pretty good at their jobs relative to the general population.

Winning against the best football organizations in the world requires everyone playing and coaching well. I hate the "it was this that lost the game" threads because while true, you can point to multiple things and be right about it. A lot of stuff has to be right to win. In a close game, there are usually a dozen things that you can point to that determined the outcome of the game.

Dallas has an issue at QB, WR, DLine, Safety, etc. They ALSO have an issue with the coaching.

The Zeke haters really should watch those videos though. The number of times that teams load the box is significant. Teams continue to choose between Dak and Zeke to stop and they almost always pick Zeke.

Its weird how the players that win games always seem to play for good coaches...
What’s weird is that you have no idea who is a good coach other than their wins.

Makes it a moot point.

no amount of coaching changes this. the game was lost between the white lines

Typically I agree, but when a team has significant more talent and looses, the coaches failed to game plan and prepare—just disgusting

The DC and ST coordinators really let us down and this season.

Why did they keep Marinelli when KRichard was ready to take over? Especially when the BBDB scheme is worn out?

KQuinn hasn’t a clue about STs. Maher was a disaster and the blocked punt vs NE killed us. Punting is a big problem this season.

I like KMoore, but I think he’s been handcuffed by JG. We don’t know the dynamics behind this.

Columbo is an excellent OL coach. Have watched him in several practices.

He’s very organized and makes them hustle.

I like Brown and Kitna also. No problems there, though I think Dak has regressed some. Kitna needs another offseason with him.

I don’t know if Jackson stays. The safety play killed us in the Jets game. To be fair, he needs more talent.

This article is 100% true with the exception that Garrett needed to make but changes to have Cooper and Elliott on the field that last play he chose to stand there and stare out onto the field instead? If he had any clue how to make in-game adjustments he might have thrown Cooper rush in there for a series to see if that could change the momentum or maybe lift the offense? There's many different things you could have done a lot of coaches wouldn't have done this but when you're desperate you have to think outside the box and instead he stares into the abyss

Players are the ones solely responsible for playing within the white lines but without Direction there nothing

tell me what the coach do with this, Genuis
Sorry dude but I've got to call you out on this one.........but if you're going to slam someone's intellect by calling them genius, you've got to spell it correctly :)

The reason this saying irks me so much is because Howard Eskin, a local Philly radio sports d***bag use to always call fans this, and I hate Eskin and everything about Philly. Cheers!

Barry Switzer as Head Coach of the the Super Bowl winning Cowboys is one example.

Its normally coaching AND players though.
But all coaches (and NFL players) will tell you the MAIN ingredient is the player....obviously
Coaching gets them over the top though.

In a race, a Porche with an average driver beats a VW Beatle with an ace driver everytime...assuming no cheating.

I think the point is the coaches did their job of putting players in the right play call to make plays. Those players even got into position to do so. But they failed to finish those plays. People bag on the "scheme" all the time but if receivers are open isn't that what the coaches goal is?

Very rarely is there a deep dive into what actually happens in the games. There's nothing wrong with their scheme.

Don't care what you say...that clip is what dak is all about. An EASY wide open pass. And this isn't the only one. Don't act like this is an exception. It's CONSTANT and sickening.

The players have been doing this FOREVER. Since they were little kids. You are telling me they can't opt out into a play of their own choosing.....and EXECUTE it?

If these coaches are SO bad...then do it. Let the coaches rant on the sideline. Then go out and call your own plays.

I get it....good coaches can watch from on high and call the plays that help players succeed. But "everyone" is saying these coaches can;t. So ...the players should be able to call plays just as well....right?
