I don’t think Jaylon got paid and quit. He worked way too hard to get get back to top form.

I also don’t believe he is done physically. He played well last year. He was aggressive and a thumper. He wasn’t weak at the point of attack.

I think a lot of the issues we have are scheme related.

He has issues with stopping and quickly changing directions this year. He also has bad balance. I don’t know if he’s injured or his knee/foot has regressed. He also looks more top heavy than last year.

He reminds me of the legless faceless floating abominations in the new movie CATS that have no movement and just sort of...do cat crap. Most disappointing player this year in my humble opinion. And that's saying something.

He looks like the classic gym freak that does NO STRETCHING at all. He can only move forward.

He looked way faster and quicker last year. I saw him in coverage Sunday and he looked to be limping.
He is impaired. The nerve issue never fully healed... that’s why I was concerned they gave him a new contract.

There is nothing wrong with Smith’s legs at all. He still flashes big time speed. Rare speed. His issue is that it is clear he does not take his job seriously. How can he when he is selling his sunglasses during the week. Smith plays like a guy that watches next to no game film. He plays like a guy that does not work on technique. Always out of position. Always crossing his feet. Never square. Never anticipates. Never sees the play develop and reacts with power. He never fills a gap. Overruns a dozen plays a game. He routinely takes a circular route to make a play. Never stands anyone up. Never blows up a blocker. He will blow up a team mate coming into a tackle late. Always chasing. Routinely avoids tackles. Does not want to make the routine play.

Nothing wrong with his leg at all. He plays like a guy not accountable to anyone. A guy that does not work on becoming a great LB. It’s his attitude and lack of focus on football that is the problem.
Ok- but that dude is limited greatly! The nerve issue still exist.

This team needs a dietitian. Everyone has apparently gained weight. Zeke, Dak, D-Law, Amari, Jaylon. What the heck are these players eating?

I'm more concerned with him standing there like a statue while players run past him.
Yeah that’s more my concern. I’m not concerned with his physical limitations what he’s doing has nothing to do with that. That guy looks lost against the run and in coverage. He’s reacting wayyy too slow.

Been like that all year!!!
It's amazing how many fans are often late to the party. There are those among us that keep trying to warn fans that this has NOTHING to do with scheme. This guy cannot play. I keep telling people...I sense a premature retirement coming. If he was invited to a camp and had to COMPETE for a job next year...he would not make it past the 1st cuts.
