All the things that you have said all comes down to one thing that will never happen in Dallas. That is we need a competent GM here that knows football.

Zeke was a mistake and I mean drafting him was the mistake. Paying him doubled down on that mistake. Zeke has been a good player but RBs can be drafted in the 4th round. Look around the league, there are good RBs taken almost everywhere in the draft and free agency. I said that when they took him but now I think the problem is even worse. Zeke appears to be a "me" kind of player. His holdout should have been a red flag. That was the time to trade him.

You cannot give up on Dak until you have a replacement and I don't want to hear about Marcus Mariota or anything of the scrubs floating around the league. Franchise QBs are not growing on trees. I certainly would not give Dak $40 million because if that's what he wants then he is another "me" guy. I'd try to sign him for the 4 year deal about about $30 million. If he won't take that franchise him and draft a QB.

No one is going to give up much for Tyron Smith. If we can see his dropoff this year and the injuries piling up you can bet personnel people in the NFL have an eye on it too. And again, unless you have a backup for him you cannot trade him. Just remember the Atlanta game a couple of years ago. But I do agree its time to look for his eventual replacement.

The draft is supposedly rich in DTs, Safeties and WRs, all positions of need for Dallas. I think they need to go DT, Safety in the first two rounds of the draft and maybe go WR and RB in the 3rd and 4th rounds. But we have to see what happens in free agency. If they lose Byron Jones and Anthony Brown they will need to draft a CB who can play. They also need a LB. With about 20 free agents, many of whom start or play extensively, they have some real problems to deal with. They are not all going to be solved in free agency.

You do not trade a top 5 LT in this league unless you are doing a tear down......
Other than that I pretty much agree with that assessment

Tyron is still a very good player but how long can he hold up? I would be trying to draft his replacement next year in rounds 1-3. No one is going to fill Tyron’s shoes in year one but they may need to be pressed into service in year 2.

Lol @ trading Tyron.

He is a bargain at his pricetag until he decides to hang it up.

Cooper just non-chalanted his entitled *** out of here if I ran the team. Draft a WR in Rd. 1 if that WR is CeeDee Lamb. If not go D.

I'd tag Dak. See if the Jets would trade Jamal Adams for Byron head up. Draft a CB or DT in Rds 1-3. Re-sign Bennett and put him @ LDE full time opposite DLaw. Sign best available FA DT.

Install Jarwin as full time starting TE. Re-sign Cobb. Offense might suffer a bit early in 2020 but we should be healthy @ OL by next spring.

Agreed with everything, but get Dak outta here along with Garrett and Amari. Draft a QB in the 1st round. WR isn't a need. We keep Gallup, Devin Smith and Cobb.

If Jones resigns Dak, Pft says Jones reiterated how much he loves Dak after this loss,. We have NO HOPE. We are goi g to continue losing until we hit on a probowler at the other 52 roster spots. And RAY GUY will have to be our punter, since we like going backwards down the field do often lol.

Hopefully, this offseason we can find someone to take Zeke in a trade. That cap number is gonna get us. He’s a good player but there’s something about him that makes me think he’s not a winning type player.

Really? So when did that happen, because he certainly was before he came to Dallas.

Zeke won three straight state titles in high school then carried 4th seed Ohio State, and their third string QB, to victories over Alabama and Oregon in the first College Football Playoff. Zeke rushed for over 200 yards in both of those games - 476 yards and 6 TDs altogether.

Hmmm...then again, maybe it's not a winning culture in Dallas? Zeke was 6 months old the last time the Cowboys won a championship.

You can't have an honest assessment that starts with that interpretation of Zeke.

Did I just read “draft Mahomes, Wilson, Lamar, Brees, etc”? You understand how ridiculous that is right? You don’t just decide to draft one of those players. It takes an incredible amount of luck to get a QB of that level.

Laughable.
And to get up to the point to have a shot at one generally guts a couple of drafts

How many times did he pull himself this year after a ten yard run bcuz he was tired?? So annoying. Where is the game breaking ability this year? How many times did he have one man to beat in the box and he got tackled. No large runs at all until week 15. He has to be out of shape or lost some heart. You don’t go from beating the safety, like his rookie year, to getting tackled every time. Something fishy there.

Those other wins you refer to are on basically stacked teams. You can’t go by that. Third string QB’s on Ohio St. etc are starters on most college teams. Look at Jalen Hurts. Didn’t Ohio St, have Rj. Barett and Cardel Jones? When you come to the show that’s when you see if you have it or not. There’s no stacked teams. That’s why there’s so many first round busts. I could care less what he did in high school or college. This is where it’s at, the NFL and he’s not living up to the standard he should be at.

Good player, just not best rb in football and a guy that carries a team right now. He’s been a non factor all year, basically, when you take into account what his ability is supposed to be. Give me back his rookie year and were talk.

Hopefully, this offseason we can find someone to take Zeke in a trade. That cap number is gonna get us. He’s a good player but there’s something about him that makes me think he’s not a winning type player. Could prolly get a first for him if KC loses in the playoffs.

Dak is not worth 30 mil or higher. I would have a long conversation about going in another direction next year. If not, offer a 3 yr 70 million deal to him and let a new coach come in and see if he’s the real deal or not. If he wants more, let him walk. That’s a fair deal.

Our oline, it’s time to trade Tyron Smith before he breaks. Tunsil, got you a first round pick, I’m thinking you can at least get a second for him. Martin and Collins are the core of the line now and we have to fill in around them while shedding some cap space.

Wr, we have to resign Cooper bcuz we gave up a 1 for him. He’s playing hurt now and is too proud to come out and admit it. You kinda have to like that in a way. When healthy, he is phenomenal.

Gallup, needs to work his butt off this off-season.

I like to keep Cobb too. Everyone else can be let go.

At TE, I hate to say this but Witten can still play in the league but he is holding Jarwin back. I think Jarwin can be a number 1 TE. He just needs the snaps. Witten should go to NE and try to get a ring. He’s such a Bill Belicheck type player and they need a TE.

On defense, I know Lawerence’s contract stings but he is a good player. A good DE is hard to find. He didn’t have the stats this year but we got to keep him.

Quinn, we need to hear how much he wants first.

Bennett, I’m all for resigning him. We need his attitude on the team.

DT is a big need across the board. Collins is a nice player but not to the contract he probably wants.

DB, With the play of and I can’t spell his name, Adwuise, we might have to resign Jones. Jones is solid and with no one to replace him and having no number 2 dB, we need to at least tag him or we will have nobody. Lewis is a slot corner.

LB, obviously, we are going to need some players there.

Safety, we need an upgrade there.

Defensively though, I think players were hurt bcuz of how soft we played. Everything was the same, rush 4 and play ten yards off.

Next coach and staff? Almost anybody will be an upgrade but everyone needs to be gone. Besides the big names, how about Bill Callahan? He can flat out coach. Look at what he did for our oline and how it hasn’t been the same since he left. He also is doing a very good job in Washington.

If Dallas had drafted well the last 3 years then they could & should sign Zeke, Dak, Cooper to big contracts. But since Dallas has really taken step back in the draft the only way to over-come their avg drafts lately is to sign some FAs. This is why Cooper absolutely isn't getting resigned and I am on fence about Dak but Jerry is more of a marketer than GM so he will resign Dak.

Before we get rid of Zeke we need to fix this first.

Teams are selling out defending the run on first down by putting 8 men in the box, if we don't make them pay no matter who you get back there we won't be effective.

Man, we're not going anywhere with a LOPSIDED offense waiting for Zeke to beat 8 in the Box.
Get a quality QB first and then we can talk about the rest!
I agree. Its frustrating to see 8 in the box and we are powerless to take advantage. And this despite having a running qb.
