He sounds just like movie directors nowadays where they make a crappy movie, but blame it on the fans.

In what way do you believe Lawrence used Twitter in this instance, which is the topic of this thread? Smart? Or not so smart?
Not smart at all. I've said a couple times already that he should've kept his mouth shut. Twitter is not the place as it will be misinterpreted by the majority. Just read the replies in this thread about it.

I don't have any of the players on this team. I'm just really really annoyed by this team at the moment. It'd be one thing if our team was rubbish and I was expecting an 8-8 performance. It's quite another when I know the team is capable of more and the players can't be bothered to show effort. Thus, deserving a record that they have earned because of their lack of heart, humility, and egos.
Exactly well said and that's exactly how I feel too but like I said I don't claim to know everything but I've watched a lot of football especially a lot of Dallas Cowboy football 58 years worth and I know we are better than this the Dallas Cowboys were built on innovation first team to use computers first team to bring back the shotgun run the shuffle pass off it Tom Landry time might have passed him by but he was an innovator Jerry Jones should have learned from that? Now he did do great things for the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys as far as marketing that's why I always accuse him and I may be way off base of caring more about making money off the Dallas Cowboys win or lose then he does actually win? I think he's realized that he needs a championship and I'm sure he definitely wants one but I'm just not sure he has any clue how to get there

Looks like we're about the same age. Your post is spot on. I truly believe he wants to win more than anything but like you said, has no earthly clue how to get there.

I've never been more disgusted with the Cowboys as I was after the Eagles game. Totally unacceptable.

Demarcus Lawrence quote. “So all I say is everybody on this team, everybody in this fan base needs to look themselves in the mirror and ask themselves: are they really here for the Cowboys or are they really here to just place blame on everyone?”

There are many “fans” on this board who’s sole purpose when they wake up is the later, win lose or draw.

Tank is even more idiotic than I ever imagined. What a waste of cap space.

Therein lies your blind spot. No one is astute enough to know what went wrong without watching All 22s or coaches tape but carry along sir...
Like said incase you missed my point, Fans and talking heads aren't Professional Athletes currently... DeMarcus Lawrence is doomed if he speaks or if he doesn't...astute fans like you can't fathom the complexity from your TV set...HDTV too
All I see from my tv is a lousy performance by the defense. Against backups and practice squad players. Also saw lousy performance from the offense. Don't see the need to quantify how poorly they played or place blame on any particular individual. My original premise was tank is crying like a baby calling out the fans. Many said he was holding the team hostage by not getting surgery until he got his deal. Were they wrong? There were no tapes to view yet they were right.

If only the fans fanned harder than fans fan for Sf, No, Balt, NE.

Imagine drafting real fan #1 and #2 overall vs LVE, Hill, Taco, etc

As someone who has yet to see this team make it to a NFCC (I was about a month old when we won the first of 2 Super Bowls against the Bills, and my birthday is Sunday), I know that this team is capable of better. What sickens me is, for a lot of the season including when I was in Chicago, I saw a team going through the motions. I don't think the players really cared one way or the other. I know this team is capable of much better than 7-8. Yet, here we are. I think Jerry knows how to get us one. I think deep down he knows. I just don't know if he has the courage to really do what he needs to do.

Of course it doesn't make anyone say anything. That's just common sense. I was just stating the facts, it has become a stage for stupid accusations.

The fact is that twitter is used for many different things by many different people, some users use it for what you say, the majority do not.

You and the blanket statements you make repeatedly about things, which you must then clarify repeatedly with "I think he meant this, I think he meant that", do not make them facts it makes them your opinions and nothing more (regarding fans, the forum, twitter, or anything else).

Looking at you contorting his statement to fit your narrative of users on this site (while assuming you know what he was thinking) is proof of that.

As far as fans looking in the mirror, I can see a point there. Fans have a way of locking onto one or two things and building entire narratives around them. Then the media reinforces those bogus narratives and the team ends up fielding a bunch of questions about what is frankly, bull****.

Last year Cooper mentions one play where he said he didn't want to run a comeback and fans say, "all they run is comebacks!!! Offense is so predictable!!! Cooper hates the coaches!!! Linehan needs to go!!!"

I don't know how many times fans whined about, "long developing routes," and, "never running slants," etc. You go back and watch the game and you see the slants, you see the checkdowns from those longer routes, and you wonder if these people are watching or understand what they're seeing.

Top it off with sports journalism being the weakest group of journalists (i.e. morons) and it's easy for complete nonsense to take off. Then the players are constantly dealing with stupidity from the media and fans. I can somewhat sympathize with the frustration that can bring.

Never said or insinuated you did. The meaning is when all that comes out of your mouth is hate in some form or another what do you think you spread? Wake up.
I don’t expect the haters to like me. I consider it a badge of honor that they don’t.
