The Blame Game

Never quite understood the whole desperate need to level and affix blame to things. It's just who we are as a culture I suppose.

So, since it's en vogue to do so, here's my humble shot across the bow:

We have players who do not play with passion or desire. We have players who obviously have no pride in their chosen profession. We have players who have very little core toughness (0-8 when trailing at halftime is a very telling statistic). We have players who simply don't mind losing.

We have coaches who do not attack. We coaches who promote a soft culture and mindset. We have coaches who do not (or are not able ),to hold players accountable for performance. We have coaches whose game planning and scheming is less than stellar. When we fail, we fail pathetically.

We have an Owner who wants the above situation EXACTLY like it is and knows it. He's told us that last week and shown us that over the last couple of decades. However, he does indeed OWN the thing and can do what he wishes with it.

It is entirely up the us as to whether we continue to support it.

Merry Christmas!

The "heart, passion, desire" thing is so annoying. Dallas is no different than any team in the NFL in that - that's just how the league is today. Too many fans look at this team through a lens that stopped existing more than a decade ago.

I do agree that the coaching staff doesn't attack, schematically. All of this talent, and they don't use it. But that's Jason Garrett's mantra, and it's exactly why he is the person to blame.

So we have players with no heart, coaches who can't coach and an owner who wants all the credit so he hires puppets. Then we as fans have to pay for all this nonsense.

No, Brother - you've missed the point entirely.

We, as fans, have the CHOICE to pay for all this nonsense.

The Buck stops with Jerry Jones. Any other blame trickles up to Jerry because he's responsible for all from the jocks and socks up to the ownership.

With the right kind of coaching, players will be given the tools and motivation to play as if their lives depend on it, so acting like we drafted or traded for a bunch of unmotivated players is pure ignorance at it's finest.

The bold is also a coaching issue. Michael Irvin once said that he pointed out those that were just here for the paycheck. You need a coach that recognizes that. Look at what Tomlin has to deal with this season, he's been dealt a crap sandwich. Do those Steelers look like they don't care? He's getting the best out of what he has.

We do need someone like Tomlin. Just think, he held Antonio Brown down til he was too insane to handle. He can handle personalities. He gets the best out of his team despite losing his main QB, his RB, and his WR’s for stretches throughout this season.

Imagine having Tomlin here. What a dream :(.
