I'm confident Meyer or Riley can win at least 11 games with this team next season

Meyer I agree
If Meyer goes to skins and we get Riley, I’m not so sure
I’m not a Riley fan

Word is we could hear some major news from the Skins as early as Monday. Say Snyder as taken over with little or no input from Bruce Allen/Doug Williams. Some are suspecting Allen, and maybe Williams could be out and Meyers and new GM in. Remember their starting LT sat out the entire season after they mishandled his injury. I can see once Meyers said he'd coach the Cowboys, he instantly became a Snyder target.

He may choose Washington, but his tendency to not stick around will hurt his chances for success. Washington is early in a rebuild. He may be willing to sign up for it, but will he stick around to complete it. Meyer to Washington could be the new Parcells to Dallas

Snyder makes him an offer he can't refuse......$10M+ per year AND complete control. They already have their QB with a chance at Chase Young if they lose to Sunday.

If Meyer goes to Skins and we get Riley, I would put Riley #3 behind Meyer and Pederson in NFCE and the Giants will get a new HC as well

Riley is too green
He can’t change the culture on this team

my choices would be Payton (I know I know) or Meyer

I agree. Jerry is going to bring someone "out of left field" here to be a HC!! Someone no one even thought about!! That's the Jerry Jones way!!
That’s what I’m expecting. Someone named Chan or Cupcake is the likely choice. Jerry’s already made it clear he’s looking for “loyalty” which is a direct shot at Jimmy Johnson type coaches.

IMO so Can Garett, sure I want change but every other year we get 10-12 wins but thats nto the issue, its getting to an NFCCG..

BTW Garett didnt miss all those throws, dropp all those passes, miss all those tackles, he did not miss blocks , missed Fgs, and have too many timely penatlys and TOs..did Garett drop easy INTS give up TDs ??

as much as you want to believe and hope hes the issue and another coach will fix the issues, no thats a pipe dream.. the players are way more responsible for all those issues then the coach especially a HC who doesnt call plays..Even great coaches cant fix that NE has a bad offense this year due to issues like that , Sean Peyton had 3 7-9 season in a row, and way too many others to list..

sure a better scheme on both sides would help a lot , developing plays to put your players in the best spots to win etc etc..

that wasn't really Garett's responsibility as it was his minions.. its time for all to go just for anew voice and new feeling around here but I hate to break it to you this could easily turn into a chip kelley nightmare as much as somehow it going north..

Forget Urban Meyer, Riley, Thule, Rivera, and other Nfl, or College, retreads, etc...

The only coach I will accept, no question, is Ed Orgeron! No question. I'd play in dog poo for this guy. Sorry LSU fans, he must be come to Dallas. Puhlease!!!!

You look at our roster, as well as the cap sheet, then it points to a defensive heavy offseason. There will be alot of turnover there. 2 starting DL are FA's. A starting CB , Safety, and Nickle CB. And if you look beyond that, Lewis, Awuzie and Woods are FA's in 2020.

I dont think its to the point we need a full rebuild there, but they practically forced to add defensive talent this offseason.

I think with both coachs, you would need a strong DC. Riley more than Meyer
Everybody keeps mentioning the defense as the top priority, but in a lot of the losses, it was the offense that let the team down. The inability to score in the red zone has killed this team.

I couldn't care less how many regular season wins the new HC can swing one way or the other. We've had 13 win seasons before and done nothing in the postseason.

I want someone who can get us to an NFCCG in the next 2 years. 3 years minimum.

If they can't. Then fire their *** too and roll in the next guy. But hanging with slobs for 10 years or more has to go. That needs to be over.

Very true. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that Jerry thinks he’s smarter than everyone else.

Agree but for some reason, I get the feeling Jerry has a dark horse/wildcard in his pocket no one talking about. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a Meyer hire but I expect Jerry to swing big on this one. An A-1 current NFL HC he thinks he may have a shot at.

I am confident Meyer could make a deep playoff run next year. Im not saying Riley couldn't, but he is not as proven a big game coach.

Overrated talent, yes. But the team still has the functional talent to be amongst the top 6 or so in the NFL. Some of the poison that has been done this season could be a lingering problem. However winning is a great cure, and a strong start to 2020 could fix that

The Cowboys should have an easier schedule in 2020, so some extent of improvement might be in the offing, given a little luck.

Of course, the new schemes and adjustments to new coaches would also need to be given consideration in such an evaluation.

I can't help but to believe that a deep playoff run for the new version of the Cowboys might be somewhat optimistic but we'll see.

I wouldn't bet money on it unless Jerry backs away
