I rooted for the Cowboys to make the playoffs, even though I felt it was futile.

I have to disagree a little bit. We got Tony Romo, Jason Witten, and Dez Bryant (albeit their talent was wasted). Parcells did make this franchise better (that team in 2007 that went 13-3 was basically Parcells team). And the coaching he did in 2003 was some of the best coaching I have ever seen with Quincy Carter, Troy Hambrick (he had Joey Galloway and Terry Glenn but they had pedestrian numbers).
But the Playoff performance as atrocious. And of course, no Super Bowls.
