By football standards, Jerry has been a mediocre owner

Yes, I am sure people will rush to say, "Hey, he won three SBs..............."

But let's be honest, this is a what have you done for me lately league. And it's also not surprising that his only real success as an owner came when he had a coach that had more control than current Cowboys coaches have had. Once Jerry exerted more influence on coaching, personnel decisions, the franchise has been pretty much a bottom feeder in the league if you go by playoff accomplishments.

Chew on this.

Over the last 20 seasons (1999-2018), only the Texans, Browns, Bills, Dolphins, Bengals, Commanders, Lions and Cowboys have not even made a conference Champ game. That is quite a company to keep of franchises right there. That's bottom 25% in the league.

Over the last 20 seasons, the Cowboys are also in the bottom 25% of the league in terms of playoff wins and playoff appearances, again with the likes of the Skins and Bengals and Dolphins and those types of teams.

It's also not surprising that in many cases, those other teams are led by owners that many pundits say aren't very good owners.

People, fans and Jerry, like to pride themselves on thinking this is a premier football franchise, but in reality, this franchise has been way closer to the ineptitude of the Dolphins and Browns than it has been to the Patriots or Steelers.

And this isn't bad luck here. It's simple arrogance and idiocy from our owner that is to explain what really is a pretty poor two decade run. Jerry's player personnel decisions along with his coaching hires have directly led to a Browns-like run.

I don't question Jerry's heart or desire to win a championship. But I think he thinks that if he wants it enough it will happen. But unfortunately, want and desire to win can't offset an ego and an arrogance that makes it impossible for him to see what the common thread among all these failed seasons is - him.

Maybe Jerry will finally wake up to this reality and he'll bring in a coach that has more control. We'll find out soon enough, I guess.

He chose jimmy johnson , so that alone makes him successful with 3 chips but he’s been hell since . He has the moronic philosophy where the owner , who doubles as the GM, hires all the assistant coaches instead of letting the head coach choose their own staff. This makes for an environment with very little accountability and an owner/GM too embarrassed to admit he made huge errors , so we end up with decades of pure garbage .

Honestly with the amount of revenue that keeps coming despite all the mediocrity, why should he even care.

Biggest problem with the Cowboys could be that they are too financially successful without winning
