Absolutely not!!!

Garrett had one year to right the ship, this year...……..and he failed miserably.

Clappy has to go, there is no other outcome that is acceptable to the fan base.

JJ would be laughed at as spineless and the fans would revolt. 1 year deal failed so consequences have to be handed down.

It's funny... so many say he's a "good man"... they forget when he sabotaged Wade Phillips for his own advancement...

Several players have confirmed this, but only Jesse Holley has put it on record...

Patrick Crayton and Jason Hatcher have said it in interviews as well.

I have been saying all along that I think it’s 50/50 that Garrett is retained as HC.

Recent noise that Garrett had to make it to the NFCC game. He didn't make it. Not even close. Last year, Stephen was saying we needed to take the next step. Instead, we took a couple of steps backwards.

I think Garrett is gone.

Can't find Vegas odds on it though.

I wouldn't bet a penny on it... Jerry is just that much a control freak...

I have been saying all along that I think it’s 50/50 that Garrett is retained as HC. The big win tonight bumped the odds slightly higher for Jerry retaining Garrett.

It got the team to .500. The team played another complete game on O and D.

it allows Jerry to convince himself that with a bounce here or there we are 10 and 6 or better which is true.

I don’t know if Jerry will can Garrett or not, but I know he doesn’t want to.

The fans would not, on the whole, be happy with that. But what if:

1. Jerry fired the special teams coach tomorrow
2. Marinelli gets the boot too
3. Jerry makes a run at another legit DC candidate and keeps the better of the DC prospect or Richard.
4. Announces that Jason failed buy he has one year to right the ship.

I think half the mad fans could get on board with that. Maybe even 3/4.
No. JJ didn't extend and that was the warning, strike 1. JJ extended contracts, obligated tens of millions of cap money, and supported JG throughout this miserable year, strike 2 To his credit or his ego not wanting to admit a long running mistake, JJ gave JG every opportunity to right the ship and give him a reason to extend his contract. it didn't happen, strike 3, go sit down.
JG is gone. All that's left is to wrap the package.
