Long before Jerry had a jones for Sean Payton, he had one for Bill Cowher.

Imo, the job is Cowher's if he wants it.

If he doesn't want it, imo, Jerry will go hard for Josh McDaniels.

this is a tough year to grab a new HC , 3 jobs in your own division open,

Plus
CLE
Carolina

who else?

I'm wondering if all the teams have different needs at HC and wont be going after the same Names…. i'm more worried about the Coordinators because thats more important and les s of those available , well good ones..

also chew on this out of what 8 last year only one in GB has a winning record and going to playoffs, they had ARogers so...

I see a lot of new coaches in the last 10years come and go maybe last 3 yrs or less while Garett was here, the change was not positive.. some teams got worse and stayed bad..or slightly improved and then fell back..

no guarantee this doesnt start a long losing streak fo us and we will be looking back wishing for the old days LMSAO

But then again, it's a tougher year for everyone else except maybe arguably the Giants... no one really wants to compete with America's Team for a head coach.

And btw, Garrett to NYG makes total sense. I don't doubt for a minute that could happen in a heartbeat.

If Bieniemy had a bad year I'd hate to see what people would do with that name. Whew! :omg:
Useless uninteresting fact. My older brother played against Bienemy in high school and I thought his name was extremely cool back then. Never thought I would still be hearing it almost 35 years later.

Read somewhere on Twitter this morning that Jerrah is in no rush to act upon the top named coaches available. The inference was that he has his sights set on somebody currently coaching, etc. The big names will be off the board quicker than you can imagine...either by signing, or in Meyer's case deciding not to coach

Riley would be an amazing OC but it'd all be on the job NFL training for him. He's a Lubbock kid and bred behind some great collegiate minds but he has zero NFL pedigree or knowledge. He was a walk on at Tech who hasn't ever held a head coaching position besides the one he has now which included a full staff and top 20 classes yearly in tow. He will eventually take on a tougher challenge but I don't see Dallas being the place to offer him that first NFL job.
As an OU fan I hope this happens. Because his lack of recruiting is starting to show he was off to a great start because he had a full cupboard here with the talent he started with and he hasn't replaced those guys with talent as good or better. And completely neglected the defense like Bob Stoops had for 6 years or so by keeping the DC the same for a year and a half. His coaching record is fools gold at OU because of the talent he started with.

Jimmy likely won't ever coach again.
He has no desire to put in the time and effort it took to turn around the Cowboys.
He doesnt even want a full-time broadcasting gig.
People keep blaming Jerry's ego but Jimmy was done DONE.
He was totally burnt out and wanted to get back to South Florida BAD!
Jimmy used his Psych degree to get fired and keep his money.

I am surprised some team hasn't hired him to be a consultant for DBs though.
Arguably best DB evaluator in league history.

Lincoln is great at OU and has that team the bellcow of the B12.
But I think all B12 teams have to look at the Texas kids plays in the CFB for teams far away and wonder why they are missing on them in recruiting.
OSU was heavy with Texas kids.
LSU is loaded with them.

Jimmy Johnson. Finish the circle. 76 might be bit to old for HC though.
