Well yes. With some people an 8-8 record is enough reason to cry like a 10 year old.

Garrett is ultimately responsible for the work product and it wasn't good enough to keep his job. Without question.

But 95% of the fans melting down over this don't even watch film, much less articulate the actual reasons why the team has a .500 record.

We'd love to have the time to watch game film, but most of us have families to raise and jobs to go to, so we owe the experts with time on their hands to do so, our eternal gratitude.

The thing that gets me is that, yes, he needs to go and yes, he had 10 years to get it done and didnt. But, Im afraid it doesnt matter who the coach will be, the Jones family isnt going anywhere. If a strong coach comes in and whips them into shape, they likely wont be here long because of Jerry. It will be just another lame duck coach.

JG being gone is the first step in the right direction.

There is no one reason why we were 8-8 for the 4th time in 9+ seasons under this jackass. It’s terrible and non-existent coaching, it’s poor play calling, poor execution, dropped passes, made up tripping and offensive PI calls, it’s missed 35yd freaking yard FG’s, it’s Jaylon and Sean Lee looking lost in coverage, it’s guys holding out when they should’ve been it, it’s terrible O-line play, it’s retread DT’s who get blown off the LOS, it’s EVERYTHING.

Case in point. I missed Garrett telling Maher to miss 35 yard FGs. Why didn't he just say the same thing to Maher that he did when he was making them from 60+? Bad coaching!

If you think Sean Lee is lost in coverage you aren't paying attention. If you think Garrett is responsible for the tripping penalties you aren't paying attention.

Garrett is responsible for 8-8 and was gone after the Bears game, for sure. But if we don't have the blocked punt against the Pats and we are in the playoffs. Or if the Zeke non-fumble is called correctly against the Saints we are in the playoffs. Or if there wasn't a once-in-20-years string of injuries during the Jets game we are in the playoffs.

My family and me have suffered for many years with Princeton Smart - Football Stupid. He made alot of money while in "training" to be a Head Coach. He is a fraud and all his words and actions mean nothing. The Fan Base was let down and in exile. The organization has been in limbo for 9.5 years due to "the process". This is a results business and I will never forgive him for allowing the Eagles to win a Super Bowl under his watch. I can never show my face in New Jersey ever again in my old neighborhood. I need redemption and a Super Bowl trophy.

Nope. The door can’t close fast enough. He wasted ten years of my fandom and I’m not going to wish him well in anything but departing.

I have to disagree with this stance.
I don’t see this as Jason Garrett “wasting 10 years” of anyone’s fandom. Dude was just trying to make it as HC of the Cowboys. He came up short. It is what it is.

But, just playing along with this line of thinking-
At the very least, wouldn’t it make more sense to say Jerry wasted those 10 years of your fandom? After all, he’s the one who put JG in that position and then allowed him to hold said position for that long. Of course JG was going to keep plugging away for as long as he could.

I seem to remember Demarcus ware and Tony Romo being kicked out without a PC so no tears from me. They even lied and said ware was to injured to continue playing.

I'm not talking about guys like you that make valid points and articulate it well. Moreso about the other poster I just replied to.

That picture does not bring me to compassion whatsoever, however I wish him well.

I like Garret, I just think he chose the wrong position -He should be a GM, not a head coach!

To me Garrett is Jeff Fischer 2.0 a guy that never should have had the job as long as he did. He should have plenty of money and probably another team that will employ him in some fashion. Feel sorry for him I do not
