Ok, geez. He's been here 9 years. Second longest since Landry. I hope he's leaving happy, because not many have had his opportunity.

So basically you take your blind homerism it Prescott, Garrett and Jerry to absurd levels that only Dallas is subjected to the bad luck of the draw and other teams aren’t..

No clue but I didn't put you on Ignore before but... Bye.

Where did I show remorse for him??
Just because I’m NOT showing contempt for him doesn’t mean I have remorse for him. I’m sure he’ll be fine. I’m not emotionally wrapped up in my opinion of JG one way or the other.

Whose career did he ruin?
I owe you an apology if I misrepresented your post. I must have been conflating you with the subject of the OP.

To answer your question, I’m talking about the numerous assistants and coordinators who took the fall under Garrett’s tenure. That includes the original HC who had no real authority over Garrett as he was the HC in waiting already at that point. I understand people in those positions get replaced often, but in this case, almost all were replaced in a futile attempt by Jerry to cover for Garrett’s image.

Garrett is an affable conman with a bit of good school polish and above average speaking skills. He spent his entire HC career trying not to make big Switzer-esque mistakes that would risk his relationship with dad. The guy knew that he was an ineffectual unplugged figurehead hurting this team and its players for years, yet he still took in tens of millions of dollars hoping to eek out another undeserved windfall in the upcoming season. I’m sure he’s doing it now. No ill will, but no sorrow whatsoever.

Are we supposed to feel sorry for a multi-multi millionaire losing his job? Jason Carrot and his family is set for life, I have no doubt Jason Carrot will be just fine.

Here is the problem.

This is the business he is in.

He's made millions and millions of dollars and he has had a lifetime in coaching years for the Dallas Cowboys.

This is a results business and he didn't bring results.

I think it's ok to feel bad for him but don't feel too bad for him. He's fine.
Millions of dollars and Princeton education aren't bad things to have in life

I’m sorry I don’t think that answers my question - whose career did Jason Garrett ruin?

Seems as though you’re saying Wade Phillips. But I’m not seeing that. How did Garrett ruin Wade’s career? Wade is still in the league and has had pretty tangible success (and I’m sure has made millions) since leaving Dallas. This does not look like a man whose career was ruined.

He would sacrifice everyone and Everything to not be blamed and Held accountable. He can screw right off. Tonight will be the Best Day in the last 10 years being a Cowboys Fan

This. Anyone who has emotions for this slimeball is easily fooled. Good riddance to this terrible coach. Oh he's hugging his wife on the field? Cool. Pack your bags and get out. He made millions here doing nothing at all. He will be fine.

Well, Cowboys fans may just be the start of a zombie apocalypse, because there's no pulse left. Garrett is safe, though. We want brains, and he has none.

What was so great about that? Many people are good people.

The guy has a history degree and has made millions due to daddy's connections with the top football team franchise in sports and he's a good politician and image maintainer. He's the opposite of he meritocracy he's preached and has already made more than 99% of the people in the world for being unqualified for and average at his job.

Sure, I hope his next position goes well but it is time for both sides to move on. He lasted longer than a lot of his peers at least.

He is whispering in her ear, "can you believe we basically got paid about $15Mil per playoff win?!?! How awesome is that!!"

I'm not sad at all to see him leave. Can us fans get hugs too for making us suffer in pain for many 8 and 8 seasons?

I'll be one to say I'm very elated and happy to see him go. Worst Dallas Cowboys coach ever!

This is a business. I’m sure he’s a super swell guy, just not a great coach. Didn’t work out and life will go on for him and the Cowboys!

Good man.....wish him nothing but the best

Pulse? I need to see more of her, that could be his Mom.

I have exactly 0 empathy for a guy that's lived the dream and made north of 75M while accomplishing very little. I feel more for those people that sacrifice things in their lives to take themselves and their families to games, they deserved a hell of a lot better than what he delivered.

Garrett will stay in the NFL and make more millions.
