Are you going to cry? Dak has torn up plenty of good defenses over his 4 years.

Seattle in the playoffs comes to mind last year.

Doh!!!

2018 Seattle Defense Rankings
Pts - 24.9 (22nd in the league)
Total Yards - 381.6 (26th in the league)
Pass Yards - 263.9 (27th in the league)
Rush Yards - 117.7 (22nd)

Yeah, you can leave now.

For Dak’s sake, I do hope he goes elsewhere. I would wish him well. His replacement better be perfect though.

Wouldn't that be something, if the front office opt to let Dak leave Dallas.

Would for sure send a message to the team that no player is safe and that playing for the greatest franchise in sports (value wise) is a privilege.

The front office tried working with him, but he has declined all the offers.

Let him leave then.

Maybe that would spark a culture change within the organization.

I haven't read the whole thread, but I'm going to chime in anyway. Let's say that Dak is a totally average QB, middle of the pack. That means there might be 15 guys that we know are better at the position than he is. Given that, what are the odds were going to find one better than him - and cheap? Has this organization wowed you with their ability to identify and acquire QB talent? They lucked into Romo, they lucked into Dak (how hard did they try to move up to get Paxton Lynch?). They have never had or developed even a good backup during the last 20 plus years. The last really good backup we even other than Romo had was probably Steve Beuerlein. This is an organization who thought Quincy, Hutch, Henson, Ryan Leaf and a million other stiffs were legitimate QB prospects.

Letting Dak walk without having a solid replacement lined up seems like the kind of thing that would get a real GM fired. Of course it can't happen here, and that's the real problem. The only thing that will spark a culture change would be if Jerry and Stephen fired each other. As long as we've got owners who think they are GMs and who sit in on coaches meetings and talk to the press as if they are coaching the team, nothing will change. Letting Dak walk would just put them on the Mount Rushmore of inept football management. Imagine trying to hire a new coach after you tell him you will be micromanaging him every step of the way, and 'by the way' we got rid of our QB and don't even have a high draft pick to replace him. But we really like this Cooper Rush guy...

2018 Jax defense was ranked #5 in the nfl. Dak and friends hung 40 on them.

Poor troll. Another dumb comment blown to hell. :lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yeah.. Because after this 8-8 finish and 3 road games with no Touchdowns people would be foolish to say this QB isn't worth Elite QB money.

Dak gets more wide open wr’s off double moves than any QB I can remember. He rarely throws a contested pass on any route besides a hitch (which is terrifying to watch). He’s just not very good

Fans like you are what's wrong.

I bet you rooted for the likes of Alan Ball and Keith Davis to stay and keep starting.

Then when a new person comes in you just jump on that wagon and pretend they are the best. Amnesia.

You are just a cheerleader, don't really love the team, just root because you don't know any better, and feel it's the thing to do .

A player like Dak could be hurting the team, but you don't care until he's gone, then you just root for the next guy.

#DontpayDak

Do you believe that crap coming out of your mouth? You are a classic Dak-hater. Face facts...Dak finished ONE YARD SHY of the all-time Cowboys passing yardage record, was ranked in the top-3 in QBR almost all year, and was being discussed as LEAGUE MVP for quite a while.

But you, in your infinite wisdom, know the truth.

Don't let facts get in the way of your inexplicable hatred. Or can you justify why he sucks so badly?

Please. Do enlighten us morons.

Because here is what I know. This year he finished...

2nd in passing yards (4,902),
3rd in yards per game (306), and
4th in passing touchdowns (30)

in the LEAGUE.

The only QB to throw for more yards (Winston) threw NINETEEN MORE PICKS than Dak.

So basically you're a FOS troll. Go sell crazy somewhere else.

Forget watching the games? Everyone, even some Dak supporters are realizing he sucks or is average, but stats in your eyes are all he needs.

Like I said you're a cheerleader. A great one

Let's get real, here! Dak isn't going anywhere. He'd be franchise tagged, rather than that. Letting him walk would only leave us with Rush! :omg:

Sounds like a long behind post to say you're scarred of potential failure so lets not make a move. I'm not with that coward business. If we fail we fail this isn't life or death here its football. That rationale for keeping Dak when at this point like most players they are who they are professionally is crazy to me. Dak being "nice" as a person isn't good enough to come up with every excuse to keep his average self.

Nah first off a player like dak doesnt simply walk, traded maybe..

However so many more options and with a new HC and staff looming , as a hypothetical GM , im going to low ball dak say offer 32 or less with it very team friendly structure etc, if thats not agreed to in the short term,

NON Exclusive Franchise tag, yup cost team 27-28mil, allows dak to seek other deals, we can match or of we lose him its for 2 1st rounders..win win

you want to dak and his agents to back off the ridiculous demands , have them wake up when they realize no other team is offering it, this also allows Jerry to see Das actual, market..

why outbid yourself..

the new HC and OC can work with Dak a year under the FT and decide if they want him long term

this makes way too much sense..

I dont think one team offers dak more then 30 so why outbid yourself..all sides get to evaluate worth, true market value not inflated bs forcing a team to overpay..

And then what? Rely on a washed up re-tread qb? Rely on a draft pick? I'm not saying Dak is the best qb in the league, but you never let a good qb walk if there isn't a better replacement. Unless that is....you are wishing for another decade of Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Drew Hensen qb play. Dal is better than 2/3 of the qb's currently in the league. Why in the world would you let him walk? Let's see what a new coach can do with him first.

Because we can;'t afford to pay #1 QB money to a "top 1/3" qb?

Not saying either way....but the money being held hostage could be a reason. Let Dak ask for the top 1/3 money then sign him.

Dak has the stats to merit a big contract. However, his failure to lead the team to a TD in the Eagles game should cost him $5 million.
