Maybe we're just not in the spirit of this.

I tell ya what. If I could have my first choice as HC, it would be this guy. Let's start thinking outside the box. Look at that circus wheel. Perfect.

It just means real coaches are turning him down...

I doubt he's even contacting real coaches. He's only done that once since he let Jimmy go and that was only because he was desperate for a quick fix to get support for the new stadium. Jerry doesn't want to relinquish any control or risk being overshadowed.

COULD be considered. Hard hitting reporting there.

LOL
That choice of words was the 1st thing I noticed.

That’s like saying “we might think about it”.

There’s a bunch of names you could fill in that statement with and it wouldn’t technically be a false statement.

This is what the Internet and social media have done to reporting, in general.

Saying that someone might think about something is not news.

Isn't there an alert about not posting topics using unverified twitter accounts? Especially when they quote a verified twitter account but no one else can find that original source?

I honestly do not believe this. Maybe as a tight ends coach but nothing other than that.

I feel for witten. The guy was amazing here and his playing time is essentially over and he can not go back to broadcasting but I imagine he wants to be involved somehow. I don't think working in the media is for him at any point again.

Has to be hard to wrestle with that.

Witten was one of the players Marcus Spears mentioned as being one of Jerry's boys. Who caused resentment amongst the majority of the players on the roster during his time in Dallas. So this makes perfect sense to a senile billionaire.

It absolutely makes sense given what is important to Jerry. I'd put the chances of this happening at 40%.

You have to seriously start asking yourself why the Cowboys are sorta slow-playing this process while other teams already have interviews lined up or at least made the requests. The Cowboys ALREADY have their guy. No need or urgency for legitimate interviews. We just have to hope their guy isn't a massive reach like Witten or Kellen Moore....

Yup and this is why Jason Witten is being considered... He's probably getting resistance from who he's contacted already... This is his way of saving face then coming out and putting a spin on it why i
He's the best candidate.
