We would have probably been picking at 13 instead of 17. The draft order goes by win/loss record which would have put us int the range of 11 - 16. Then the tiebreaker is strength of schedule. Our SOS was .479 but losing to the Commanders would have given our opponents another win and boosted our strength of schedule to .484. The Raiders pick 12 with a SOS of .482 and the Colts pick 13 with a SOS of .492. This is what our first 3 rounds look like now and what they would have looked like if we would have lost.

As is we get picks: 17, 51, 82

If we lost: 13, 44, 75

Of course, Dallas had no option but to try and beat the Commanders yesterday. The Commanders were so bad I am not sure Dallas could have even lost to them on purpose.

17. Cowboys (8-8)
18. Dolphins (via Pittsburgh 8-8)

If we had lost, we would have been 7-9 and would pick no better than 11th. I haven't looked at the tie-breakers to really see where we would actually have ended up, but the "loss" would have us picking somewhere between 11 and 17. We currently HAVE number 17, so the absolute MOST that this win "cost" us is 6 spots.
