Anyone Else Angry at Jaylon Smith's Carefree Attitude About Losing?

Watching Jalon Smith on the sidelines and in post-game interviews, you'd think we were playoff bound. And Jalon is not alone. I saw many players who are comfortable with losing. I respect players who hate to lose but I guess the Jones culture is a way of life now where competing is the new winning. What a bunch of gutless losers the Jones culture has produced.

I remember watching Staubach, Drew Pearson, Michael Irvin, etc who hated to lose and willed their team to victory. Well I guess fond memories from the good old days are all we fans have left unless you buy Jerry's fools gold he sells every September.

Part of me doesn't hope it's cause they got paid and have side businesses now.

But also, I have to assume most now see the NFL as a well paying job, and well they got families that they want to unwind with. It is what it is.

Sure they would of liked to make the playoffs, but I would bet they don't mind getting to the offseason earlier to recover.

They were focused on the CURRENT GAME.......which they were winning. Players and coaches too, rarely look past one game at a time. From my understanding, they had no idea what was going on with Eagles/Giants game.

So I'm not sure what you expected

While its true all players want to get paid (god forbid) , Jaylon has taken poor sportsmanship and celebrating while losing to a level we have never seen...........not in Dallas. He doesn't care what the score might be. If he makes a play, he's going to do his swipe and invite the world to "look at me and what I did". He is exclusively about his brand and could care less what the team or anyone else is doing. Anyone who saw him celebrate over the injured Bear wr after looking to make sure the guy was indeed injured knows all they need to know about this clown.

Jerry made a huge error giving him a contract a year earlier than necessary.

it's the modern NFL. Most players just want a contract. the fans care more about winning.

I don't see that on elite teams, I see players that fear for their job and a lot of great players who hate to lose regardless of what much they are getting paid. Aikman hated to lose. Peyton Manning hated to lose. Brady hates to lose. Sean Peyton hates to lose. Insert elite teams and their players and coaches here...
