For all those who state...we didn't beat any good teams, Dak sucks, why did we not score a TD in 3 games etc etc etc.

The fact that we tied with Arizona (5 wins) and Detroit (3 wins) for the least amount of interceptions in the league should give you an indication as to why we ended the season 8-8 and disappointed so many times this year.

This is an ongoing problem and just a completely baffling development from the self proclaimed "Purge Squad".

Start here when looking to place blame followed by the horrific special teams play that missed a million fgs, had horrific punting, and the worst starting field position in the league.

The real culprits.

Season high 19 missed tackles in a game doesn't help.

All around the league, even with the real bad teams. You would see a game changing play by the defense/st's.. I can count on one hand how many times this happened with Dallas' Defense. Everyone likes to point the finger to the coaching (rightfully so), or Dak, But this defense was bad. That's on the players as well as coaching.

I personally blame the Cowboys Safety Xavier Woods. Hear me out. As bad as the corners played this year they did manage to knock a few balls up in the air only for Woods to be no where near the ball. All he'd have to do is just pluck it from the air as it comes falling down. But no, he has no feel for where the QB is going with the ball. No instincts.

The type of pass defense this team has played... Well for years, just makes me irritable.

I haven't been happy with this team's pass defense since Mike Zimmer was here.

The maddening thing is we don't give up a whole lot of long balls due to it, but it wears the defense out having to consistently be on the field. Watching TE's feast in the middle and RB screens go for 15 yards was perhaps the most frustrating thing to watch all year (aside from offense ineptitude/anything involving ST).

Agreed, I watch countless NFL games (like most of us) and I see other teams defenses making game changing plays all the time, but not Dallas...

Well if you got a QB who'd actually throw accurate passes then you wouldn't have to worry about the interceptions

Maybe having bigger interior defensive linemen that can collapse the pocket? Oh but wait, sir Marinelli likes his linemen to be light like a ballerina.

Since we are talking about Defense on this thread what has Richard done to facilitate an interview with the G-Men?? Is he not putting our secondary into a good position to make all these interception?? Isn't that what we were led to believe?? Legion of poof!!!
