I have a bad feeling about this

I think the deed is done, Jerry’s just giving Garrett a few days after tens years of working with him.

Atleast this is what I keep telling myself.

Yeah, I lean towards that opinion. That, and Jerry is a showman. When the dust has cleared from black monday, he'll set up a press conference, have all eyes on Cowboys, and do what Jerry does.

Also, as Cowboys radio has pointed out, Jerry doesn't actually have to do or say anything. Garrett's contract is pretty much done. He could literally say nothing and eventually announce a new coach.

But I completely understand the worry by fans, I feel it, too. Jerry has made enough bad decisions to make any fan paranoid.

This has become worse than "Dallas" the night time soap. Just let it play out

It's been two days and two meetings with Garrett and I've come to the conclusion one of these things is going to happen....
1. He gets an extension as head coach (this would be the worst-case scenario)
2. He gets a front-office job
3. And believe it or not, Jerry relinquishes his GM duties and names Garrett as the new GM of the Cowboys.

Either way, I don't think Garrett is done in Dallas otherwise he would have been given the ax already regardless if his contract doesn't end until the 14th. Folks this is bad and I mean really bad but I pray that I'm wrong but I always trust my gut!

Jerry will rake Cowboy fans through ‘Garrett-HC Hell” for at least another 10 years before he even thinks of giving up the GM title

Listen I think we are freaking over nothing. There are media guys..Sturm, George Dunham, Moore..among 15-20 I follow on Twitter they are all 100% he’s done. I do think there may be a FO component but overall I’d be stunned if he coaches. I think they know who they are targeting so him going through the motions is fine

He’s done. But these last few days have been really entertaining.

Exactly. Jerry doesn’t want to throw him out like the other Monday Morning 3-13, 4-12, 6-10 coaches. And since Jerry doesn’t have to fire him, they’re just letting him work out the contract.

They’ll have a teary eyed conference next week to announce that they have mutually parted ways. You would have thought Garrett retired, but Jerry has an emotional attachment to him and this is how the whole thing will go down.

I think JG would actually be good in a front office. Everyone that has worked with him has said he's a dedicated, hard worker who genuinely cares for the players.

It's not like his **** scheme or **** game management matters in a front office.
Garrett offers nothing in any competitive or strategic capacity. He’s a reasonably well spoken four flusher among lucky strike hillbillies.

I almost feel like Jerry is trolling us all. He hears the fans and media freaking out and is soaking in all the attention this predicament is receiving.

I mean, at least I hope that is what's happening. I can't explain why the clapper is still around otherwise.

He's egotistical and spiteful.

JG is his puppet and cover so he is now the assistant GM and assistant HC and OC. Head scout and assistant to the head hydration manager.

Garrett stands to make $1 to $5 million/year coaching elsewhere. What could he possibly add to the front-office that would justify that price tag?

Relax. Garrett's a goner.

JG to GM and Kellen Moore to HC. That would be the Jerruh way.

Really? Who has Garrett been responsible for? Here are some gems: Brad Johnson, Brooks Bollinger, Rob Ryan, Scott Linehan. Quite a resume of great personnel and staff decisions.

this is where fans make a* of themselves, there have been plenty in the know that has said Garrett had a huge hand in building the roster, especially the OLIne
