Great we sit around with Jerry Begging Jason Garrett meanwhile a team in our division are making pretty good moves.

Better hope all the good coaches do not get Snatched up and we end up with Garrett again.

the skins at least acted swiftly and seem to finally have a plan. Kudos for the effort. That said, I am not impressed with hiring lackluster mediocre coaches that never have won anything. RETREADS like mediocre coaches, NEVER WORK.

Don't sweat it.....they can have these old retreads. I can't wait to see Del Rio lining up a bunch of LBers that run 4.9...and can't figure out why they are struggling in coverage. ;)
WELL SAID

It’s a good front. Linebackers are still meh. Holcomb was stout and Foster is always injured. Dunbar is decent and Collins is overrated.

Despite that though, some key young pieces. They could be rolling in a year or two.
Totally agree.

It’s the opposite, the standard is so low guys like Rivera and Del Rio seem like saviors to some around here.

the goal is to improve, not stand still for a decade. When Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi become available let me know. Both good coaches who will no doubt bring a solid quality to the Commanders that didn’t exist a few days ago!

Well, well the Commanders are suddenly moving in the right direction even with their owner who is arguably the most inept in the league

They also let go of the guy in charge of training, who has been there for like 17 years. They did this because of the injuries they have been facing every year.

The Commanders are going full blown changes throughout, on every level.

I wonder what Callahan is going to do and how his relationship is with Jerry. Getting him back to coach up the OL and running game would be huge.

Rivera isn’t a retread coach. He’s a SB coach that has his team playing solid football, particularly defensive. His biggest mistake was keeping Schula as an OC and then the injury of Cam, which was way worse than they suspected, ruined their seasons the past year and a half.

a lot of it right now depends on the OC they select. And Rivera did try and clean up the Schula mess by getting Norv Turner.

Callahan would probably not set foot in this place unless Garrett is gone. The contract ended not on good terms.

Both hires are solid hires, Del Rio has been out of football for awhile and was available to be hired by anyone prior to now. Personally I hope Dallas doesn’t go the retread route.
