If this insanity clown show continues McClay may leave on his own. They are starting to make Cleveland look like a more competent regime by the hour.

Jason is the coach. If he can't do that for the organization anymore, then he needs to be let go.

McClay is very overrated.
Look at our last 3-4 years top picks.

Look at Maher lasting most of the year.

The only thing McClay did was add more organization to a chaotic field which is the only thing Jason is good at.
Lateral move.

The last few years have really tarnished the shine on McClay.

Please, no . Just no. Just make Jason the water boy or athletic trainer if you want to keep him in the franchise so much :banghead:
I say let the Giants have him I just think it's time to clean house all the way give him some stock of something if you want him to feel better have one of his 8 -8 teams picture put in a gold frame to remind him of why he's gone

If you've ever watched the draft day camera, you'd know that Garrett offers very little to the proceedings outside of making the final phone call. He literally sits there and makes small talk with Charlotte the entire time.

McClay is the one they all turn to when it comes to decision making.

Garrett is a figurehead. And in the GM role, absent a McClay, he would just tell Jerry what he wants to hear.
As usual

- what some of these people are failing to see is McClay has to cater to what the coaches prefer, scheme-fit, regardless of what his personnel staff has put together on their value board.

- His staff likely had TJ Watt rated ahead of Taco Charlton, but if he has to listen to what key coaches prefer and get them that kind of player,
then he (McClay) has to cater to them (coaches) to best of his ability, thus the big mistake to pick Taco over Watt because Marinelli insisting upon " length"

- take the 1 tech role as well. McClay could normally want to draft the Lindvall Joseph types in the 2nd or 3rd round, and see those difference making
run stuffers make their impact and go to the pro bowls ... but since Marinelli doen't care to value and invest in the top quality of those types, McClay has
to cater to the street free agents and cheap run of the mill bargain based types (ala Woods, Richard Ash, McClain, Thorton, that continue to be a revolving door for these team and contributes to the ever going struggle that we have in the middle interior.

- the Kellen Moores ? McClay has to take an ear to register what kind of utility backup RB Moore is trying to acquire and
bring those physical tools and skill set to the offense he was/is revamping ... etc. etc.

It is up to the personnel team to decide what round and best value to draft this particular player ..and seek out the skill set and preference of these players (ala 1 tech) at a suitable rate for these coaches (ala Rod M.)

- Bottom line, get these type of bum coaches outta here, so a McClay doesn't have to play fiddle to them come offs eason time.

But I thought Jerry rewarded loyalty.
Well, Garrett has been more loyal than McClay. At least in his mind.

McClay could have bolted several years ago. But that does not matter.

My real question is where is the evidence that Garrett knows talent?

His father? The guy who swore Todd Lowber was going to be the next big thing?

We absolutely need to powerwash this franchise and get rid of the Garrett stank.

It is time.
