Is Bill Bellichick the guy Jerry wants?

This couldn’t possibly be more inaccurate.

I can remember just one time when Kraft put the hammer down and over-ruled BB...and that was not to move away from Tom Brady as QB when Belichick was considering Jimmy G.

Turns out both had good points in this hard decision. BB was right to think Jimmy G was the right guy to be the ‘next’ guy, and Kraft was right to think Brady wasn’t finished.

To compare these two is laughable, really.
Does this just not strengthen what I just said?

Yet you mentioned it to contradict me? You are not making sense. If anything the Brady and Jimmy argument confirms my thoughts about controlling ownership.

No, it doesn’t. One exception from the norm in New England, in a 20 year relationship, does not come close to equating these two owners.

Bill has the perfect set up, why would he leave? He has complete control of that organization?

@Chappy can you think of one reason why he’d come to Dallas where he would have to clear every decision with Jerry and his sons ?
not saying it is likely but Bellichick notching another Superbowl with the Patriots is like hooray. However, him achieving another with a new team is like whoa!! If that other team were the Dallas Cowboys, the perceived top shelf team in all of sports, that's like holy crap, time to rename the Lombardi!!!!

1 reason: Jimmy Garoppolo

Apparently, he didn't have enough control to stop this trade. Word is Belichick thought Jimmy was the replacement for Brady, so that implies he was thinking of coaching beyond Brady. I am not predicting this to happen. Nothing would surprise me with Jerry.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles...eportedly-didnt-support-jimmy-garoppolo-trade

It created a predicament for the organization, considering Garoppolo was set to be a free agent following the 2017 campaign. What's more, Belichick already traded third-stringer Jacoby Brissett to the Indianapolis Colts, and one person within the organization said, "If we trade Jimmy, we're the Cleveland Browns, with no succession plan."

However, the trade came, and one Patriots staffer was quoted in Wickersham's article as saying Brady "won" with Kraft finishing in his "corner."

BB would never work for Papa Jones; it ain't happenin'. Next fantasy? And don't say Urban Meyer; he'd never work for Papa.

I believe that Belichick's contract is done at the end of the year. And re-upping it would probably mean sticking around post-Brady.

Interesting. Would be shocked if he wanted to coach here— but perhaps the challenge of trying to win a SB with a second team would pique his interest.

Is Jerry just going to tap his heels 3 times and get the coach he wants?!

Bill isn't starting over with another team. His next move is retiring when the time comes.
I think you'd be surprised. I think Bill is ready for his next challenge, to be honest.

Whether it's in Dallas or not, he will coach another team in his lifetime.

all part of the long range plan of hiring Lionel Vital.

every few years they are going to add an ex patriot employee and when Bill and Jerry are about 100 they are going to come together and take over the league.

Even if he ends up here there is no grantee he will make this team that much better...NE get lucky being in a very weak division for many years
We need discipline and one voice only as the leader as of now we have too many chiefs.

I don’t see BB but Meyer is not looking long term and he too loves the spot light. No bigger spot light than Dallas

Having not made a call yet on Garrett the clapper tells me the coach/guy he wants is still coaching and the rumors on a few other message boards is that JJ is heavily invested in Bill Bellichick but as we all know his Pats are playing in the WC games this weekend.

Whether or not it happens is anyones guess but i would be surprised if JJ goes the untried route/or collegiate level coach with the current roster we have. Jones and Bellichick go back a fair way and by no means are strangers at all and when BB was leaving the Browns in 1995 he approached JJ for a job as his first port of call but JJ had already committed to Switzer after his SB triumph from memory and then BB went to the Pats and the rest is history.
I was actually thinking Bill’s son
Now this is by no means fact that he is chasing BB but stranger things have happened before and nearly everyone knows the Pats are not winning another SB anytime soon with old man Brady getting older every day.

Lots to play out here regarding our next coach IMO and watch this space. ;)

no offense , but this is fake news. Its not even a true rumor at this point. It would be like oil and water..it won't mix AT ALL.

Of course it would be amazing if Belichick came to the Cowboys, but that means it's Belichick or nothing. By the time the Pats season is over, and BB says no thanks, there won't be many big name coaches left to hire.
