rage and passion are not physical traits. You’re going against your own original argument
Gave you the other 2 so if you wanna believe Gallup is the same guy as Michael Irvin by all means keep on, you’ll probably be spot on

I haven’t seen anything from this guy that suggest he can be a true #1 if Cowboys don’t retain Cooper.
Imbb b glad someone’s smart enough to see it. He had his chance to prove it. He couldn’t. That’s fine. He’s a damn good number two.

I like everything about gallup. Coachable, hard working, and good teammate. He's had some drops, but he's also had balls overthrown, underthrown and thrown behind him. He will only get better. And now, with a new hc, we'll see what his full potential can be.

Question for you: give up one. Dak or Amari? One will not be here soon. Both cannot be signed for the money they want. One will walk....
This is a lie.

Do you think the team sent a 1 to Oakland knowing a year later they could only sign Dak or Amari?

Joke.

You guys are brutal.

Look, the guy just finished his sophomore year and he has shown improvement each year thus far. He went from 33 to 66 receptions and from 2 receiving TDs to 6.

That doesn’t mean he’ll be a #1 receiver. But we just don’t know. Terrell Owens didn’t catch more than 90 balls until Year 5.

Exactly. I'm a CSU alum and followed him once he arrived. He was never known to have the dropsies, quite the opposite actually. He was a finalist for the Biletnikoff. A WR does not get that if he's dropping passes. It just needs to be fixed, he will be fine.

I really dont see how Dallas can afford both either. Not when theres 27 other spots to be filled with the cap room.

You would think Gallup is Noah Brown the way some people talk about him on here.

Guy just had 1,100 yards and 6 TD's in only 14 games.

Dude can play but is he a “roll coverage, premier corner beating, double coverage drawing, top 15 WR1”?

I don’t think so due to his lack of any elite trait. It is very difficult to be an elite WR without any elite physical traits. Marvin Harrison is the only one that comes to mind.

That being said he is one of the best WR2’s in the league and is performing his role amazingly. Can’t wait for him to get better

Truth is....Is Amari that guy? From what data we had, seems like he’s been fairly easy to take out of a game.

Strength is a physical trait, and determination is a mental trait which helps athletes become elite. Michael had both of those, plus great hands.

awesome dude, i'm sure your evaluation skills are top notch. what a great, necessary post backed up with facts and statistics. it's amazing you can make a declaration on a 2nd year WR who just had a great season from your couch after polishing off a bag of cheetos. i'm sure NFL teams will be calling you for your evaluation skills.

So what if he's not? He has, at a minimum, shown to be a top tier #2 who can fill the #1 role if needed.

But I think it's premature to make this kind of determination anyway. As a #2 receiver he had more yards than the #1 receiver on 14 teams - 16 if you don't count TEs. And he is just barely behind most in front of him. The receiver with the 5th most yards in the NFL only had 95 more yards than Gallup. And he missed 2 games. Without those 2 missed games he could easily have been top 5.

That's not to say he doesn't need to improve some - maybe a few drops more than needed, for example. But he also has only 2 years under his belt, and he improved dramatically between year 1 and year 2. There may be improvement still.

Yup, backed by proven science that you can determine how good a receiver will be by year 2. Ignore the fact he had a great progression from year 1 to year 2. He just can't be a #1 cause you thought so.

And some of the catches and RAC have been almost astounding.

66 catches for 1,107 is pretty good man.
Not seeing why Gallup is not getting more love. He has taken a huge step this season. I also think he will only improve by having more YACs, TDs and less drops. I like what he has done.

After missing 2 games as well, or he would have had more yards than Cooper who only had 82 more yards than Gallup.
