Garrett finished 8-8 on a “show me” last year of his contract and it still took Jerry 4 days to make this move.

Think about that for a minute.

We often asked the question on this board, is Garrett gone with anything less than the NFCCG? We all assumed “yes” and we assumed wrong.

Folks, if Garrett won a wildcard game, he’s be back. Heck, I’m starting to think that he would have been back if we had made the playoffs.

Jerry thinks he’s moving on from what was already an optimal arrangement. Now, he’s got to figure out how, in his mind, to improve on that.

Buckle up, and get ready for some strange decisions. Because it’s coming.

Yeah, this is going to be an interesting coaching search, I'm sure.

Making Garrett HC was a strange decision. Continually changing his duties and shuffling assistants around were strange decisions. Almost everything Jerrah does is strange, nothing new.

The Ed Werder report is full of crap and all the other reports that just use Werder as their source are full of crap. :espn:

And if its not?

What if Steven is the one who told Werder? What you are forgetting is that Steven has no love lost for Garrett.

Its was Steven, not Jerry, that went on the radio and said "Garrett must get the team over the hump for a new contract". He said that on 103.5 The Fan back in August. Jerry may think of Garrett as his adopted son, but Steven dam sure doesn't think of Garrett as his step brother.

And that is kinda important since Steven is pretty much taking over control of the team. If he says no new contract for Garrett, then there will be no new contract for Garrett, doesn't matter if Jerry likes it or not. Dont forget, Jerry wanted to draft Johnny Football and Steven said hell no, and overruled his dad. That was years ago, Steven has exponentially more power now than back then.

With or without Garrett gone I think Rod will be let go. Then again this hasn't played out how I thought it would already.

visiting London shortly for the first time... any pointers? going to see Chelsea play Arsenal..

mid you want to see London quickly the best value is the London pass.
Gets you everywhere except the London Eye which is overrated anyway. The pass gets you up inside to see the Crown Jewels and the top of tower bridge which is cool, among most everything else in the city plus boat and/or hop on hop off bus rides.
outside of London, I loved the Salisbury Cathedral which has the best copy of the manga Carta and Stonehenge is only about 20 mins away. This is outside of London an hour and change but the best of England is scattered through the country. Oxford is great. My favorite place is Cornwall region and I loved Tintagel. Another great place is Dover Castle. Lots and lots to do and see in England.
