...and here I always thought you worked for the City of Denton! hah

Actually, did you used to be a chef or something? Actually, I think that was someone named Cowpoke50 or something.

Yea short order chefs have it rough. Total chaos in the kitchen during lunch and dinner rushes and end up smelling like the food even after you shower, etc. I use to work room service and still remember my french fry cologne.

Damn that's very cool Liotta. Are there any name drops you got? :D
The name drops I have are mostly from the early to mid 90's so you may be too young to remember them. I worked with guys like Richard Garriott, Warren Spector, Will Wright, and Chris Roberts. I'll leave it to you to figure out the titles they are associated with. Lately, I work on smaller titles, which affords me the stability I have now. I've been laid off 3 times in my career and outright fired once, but the studio I'm at now actually cares about keeping you on if you're good. It will be 15 years at this one if I make it to July.

Wow Deus Ex (Spector) Sims games, Star Citizen are pretty big games. Much respect but do know of the high turnover in that industry..still you're doing something you like (assuming) and most of us can't say the same, etc. But am glad you're at a more steady location more recently that part sounds stressing as hell. Cool stuff brotha

I used to be a Counselor and then director in a residential treatment facility for juvenile sex offenders.

A few years ago, I moved over to service coordination for a large health insurance company.

It’s basically my job to oversee a caseload of patients, perform various assessments on their needs and make sure they are set up with the services and healthcare providers they need.

I work in the Information Technology department for the City of Boise as a Technical Infrastructure Administrator. I project manage (and even help implement design of the physical layer) of all the telecommunication projects around the city.

Take pictures

Awesome!! I've really picked up photography as a side hobby this last half year or so. Mostly with my drone. I ended up buying a Sony A6000 like a month ago. I heard it was a fantastic camera. I'm not trying to be professional or anything but I find it fun/relaxing/interesting.

Civil Engineer that also does site planning.

I bet that is a fantastic career. I took great interest in Civil Engineering and Urban Planning when I was a young kid. I always loved and was intrigued in the design behind it all. It was my goal from an early age, but as you know, sometimes life shoots you off in a different direction. My grandfather was an Engineer and I was always told I "got his hand" in the family. Maybe I should have ran with it. ;)

5150 on IR who watches others do things for a living....and enjoys it. But I am good at it...go around various city development and project sites taking photos and observing how things done and which areas of traffic and trouble spots cities should attend to. Literally I’ve gotten to watch how a new city gets built all around me. Fascinating...terribly fascinated by city planning and development. I was thinking volunteer at senior community center...they no seem to want me,still pick up the trash around there just cause I’m that way. I don’t know...maybe some day I’ll land into something. I’m talented person which is hardest part for me...

I’m in city planning.
