66 catches for 1,107 is pretty good man.
Not seeing why Gallup is not getting more love. He has taken a huge step this season. I also think he will only improve by having more YACs, TDs and less drops. I like what he has done.

Less drops? That’s my only issue with him. Butter fingers.

I hope Gallup is always the #2 because Gallup is pretty damn good so that means we must have a really good #1 as well.

As far as the WR position goes, Cooper and Gallup are more than sufficient to win a superbowl. SBs have been won with much worse receiving groups.

It still blows my mind how quickly and effectively the WR group was completely rebuilt after the 2017 season.

How many other teams have a QB asking for $40 million a year?

That's pretty unique

has this ever been confirmed? Seems like a rumor that just never died, when to me (uninformed nobody) the real sticking point is that the FO has been pushing for a hometown discount AND unusually long commitment. Think something in the 32-35 range for like 3-4 yrs gets signed ASAP if it were offered.

Truth is....Is Amari that guy? From what data we had, seems like he’s been fairly easy to take out of a game.
That’s another debate, but if he isn’t, forcing Gallup into that role isn’t the answer.

If he develops into that, great, but don’t force it.

He may always be a "number 2" *excessive eye roll* but he'll never be a Laurent Robinson, Terrence Williams or a Miles Austin.

Besides, let's be real honest..of the passes that were dropped, how many weren't even in Calvin Johnson's catch radius?

The kid is good.

In fairness, "Drops" are different than targets that weren't caught. A "drop" is technically a pass that should have been caught. What you are talking about goes more to catch %.

This is definitively false, but whatever you say.

Maybe I should rephrase this. They CAN be resigned for the money they want, but it will be at the stake of a few other players. Our team will fall due to not being able to pay other people on the team that make a difference. Paying 2 average players will NOT be good for this team. Look at the 49ers and Ravens. Wanna know why they’re doing so well besides coaching? They have affordable pieces and good talent for an affordable price. If Dallas overpays, we won’t have that.

Yeah, and I was trying to word it without stepping on too many toes.

Dak was off on some throws..but, according to the first rule of receivers..if you get both hands on it, you should catch it.

Some of them being harder than others, as if you're running full speed and the pass is behind you.

Again, that's why I also said "some" not all because I'm not trying to lay blame either way.

I disagree. His second year he showed flashes and honestly down the stretch he seemed more like a #1 than Coop. I like him with Cooper though. I don’t think he’s at a point where you want him to be your main receiving threat.

Absolutely agree. Without even knowing their stats, Gallup just appeared to be the dominant receiver in many of the games. He should be able to improve on some of his deficiencies while with Cooper we are seeing the final product

Agreed as well. He has more dog in him IMO. He’ll make more effort on the ball. I’ve seen him make some ridiculous catches this season. He jumps a lot for the ball. Reminds me a little bit like Dez. He might not be the best route runner, but (if he fixes the drops) he’ll be a good WR that can catch those erratic passes for you.

Gallup has a bright future. He can be the number 1. We need better play from the TE position and go get a solid vet WR on a good deal. Can't have a steak on every plate applies here.
