Am I the only one that thinks the way we’re handling this situation will turn away potential coaches? It’s a mess and not a hard decision to make and Jerry can’t do it (officially).

who is gonna be turned away from the best hc job security in the nation?

You want it to be true so it must be true, right. Lol. I think it’s 50/50.
most of us want it to be true, but I'm a big believer in the facts before me, and those facts say he is gone. Forget the Werder tweet, this was Garrett's prove it year and he failed horribly.
No way they can bring him back at this point! You have to remember that it really does Jerry and company no good to announce anything or make a big to do because his contract is set to
expire.

This is really an unprofessional way to deal with your coaching staff to just keep them in limbo like this.......but this is not a professonaly run organization to begin with.

Garrett is not going to be fire. Jerry is just going to let the contract run out. Both parties save face. You read the comments below and as one said it is rare but respectful. JJ has 11 days left.

The facts are these: JG has not been extended. Coaches contracts are expiring. Kris Richard interviewed with the Giants. Jerry's boat needs to be bigger.

Now, you can dunk a basketball on these facts. Or, if you wanna have fun, you can dribble it around, heave it up, and hope it goes in. That's called fun speculation.

So, I'm good with waiting. My guy is still coaching.

Whoever the next coach is, its someone Jerry has been talking with in back channels for months. A year ago Jerry pointedly refused to extend Garrett's contract, he was already talking to potential replacements the minute that happened.

So was Jerry talking to coaches in 2014 when he also let Garrett coach the final year on his existing deal?

I have little doubt that Jerry has done zero in terms of laying the ground work for a new coach until very recently when it dawned on him that he might need a new head coach.

This is bizarre.

No one saves face here. When the contract expires and is not renewed in 10 days, everyone and their mother will know that Garrett was essentially fired. There's no spin on that.

If you guys haven’t figured out Garrett is most likely sticking around another year as the Cowboys coach, then you are most likely in denial.
I’d rather have JG unless it’s a BIG name! I mean BIG

They already told everyone whose contract is out to look elsewhere. All the others will ha e a chance to interview with new coach. Pretty cut and dry

It is definitely a possibility considering who is the final decision maker.

Bob Sturm just posted an article saying 1) no one really knows whats going on and 2) Jerry may be looking to deny the Giants an interview with Garrett and 3) this could be about Jerry wanting some of that sweet, sweet Super Bowl week spotlight.

They were told by a coach who also has one foot out the door.........I think Jerry hired most of them so Jerry should have been the one to tell them.............but I know Jerry's been in the middle of a Boo Hoo fest all week.

I could not dream of this being handled any worse.

There is no doubt Jason is gone.

The delay is Jerry trying to figure out how he's going to explain how it was pure genius to hire him in the first place. I mean, he's been telling us for years he's had a Landry in the making and we we're all idiots for ever doubting him.

Just announce it and bury yourself in a bottle Jerry.

To the contrary, they're exhibiting care for the reputation of the HC by letting the contract expire and getting a daily release of "No News Yet".

How? Is Garrett that thin skinned that he needs to be handled with kids gloves?

Look at it this way gang, JJ may now drink himself into a rest of his life stupor due to all the emotional distress of letting his pet rock go.... I mean we can always hope can't we.!

First of all, screw the exit interviews. If the person that wants to interview him is that close to him, text him and ask him to meet up or FaceTime him. No need to keep stalling to keep him in the building

2nd of all, no official firings yet? Seriously? Jerry might as well go ahead and sell AT&T Stadium and just make this cowboys team play in a circus tent with reinvented cowboys clown uniforms if he plans on running the organization like this.
