I thought Brooks would beat out Martin for the RG spot but Martin was damn good this year too.
Martin played 95% as good as Brooks and didn't have to miss 2 games like Brooks did. Martin had a damn good year

Wasn't the whole point of the flex position to get some more players on the teams? McCaffrey and Henry both RB and Flex. Incredibly stupid.
The Flex on offense is for the hybrid RBs that have both rushing and receiving numbers.
So I can see why McCaffery might make both, though maybe not 1st team for both.

Henry, on the other hand, is not really a flex player...at all. So that was weird.
Beside the obvious McCaffery, the players with high yards from scrimmage that had strong numbers in both rushing and receiving were Cook, Elliott, and Ekeler

I got laughed at on the old Cowboys forum a few years ago when I suggested that Zack Martin was the best player on the team in the middle of a HOF career.

I look more and more right every year. Congrats, Zack!

First Team Edge.
Second Team LB.

Do you see many people make both teams often?

Are Flex and Edge new categories or been around awhile?
It does happen occasionally because of the way the voting works (counting votes instead of naming teams). Khalil Mack is the only person to be named first team at two different spots (defensive end, outside linebacker).

I tend to think reputations were at play here. I don't think Kelce or Martin had the best seasons.

In another interesting note, at least to me............. three of the first team OL are all ND grads.
They have both had better seasons, no one at their position had better seasons this season.

Very good point

The biggest critic of players like Martin and Smith are themselves.

People act like if they aren't playing at the 2014 and 2016 level then it means there not elite.

Like you stated thats not how this works. Just because they've "had better seasons" doesn't mean there's players currently at there position having a better year

It's a shame some of our numbskull fans haven't figured out that Zack Martin is HOF bound, and easily the best player they have drafted in a long time.
