But there are many who do.I don’t use Dak’s record, ever, when discussing his value as a quarterback. So it’s not hypocritical. Because I’ve never done that.
I'd hire him in a heartbeat.I am surprised there is not more chatter about Matt Rhule this morning after Baylor was defeated by a banged up Georgia Bulldogs team last night. I admit I haven't watched much college football this year and this was my first real look at Baylor and their head coach, Matt Rhule. Its one game and I will keep that in perspective, but as I watched the game I tried to picture Rhule as the Cowboys Head Coach. The parallels to the Cowboys were inescapable. Georgia was missing a bunch of injured starters yet they dominated. Does that sound familiar? Baylor made a lot of dumb mistakes, like encroachment penalties, dropped passes, and a really bad decision to go for it on 4th and 4 around mid-field early in the 4th quarter. They failed, gave Georgia momentum and a short field. Georgia drove for a TD to basically ice the game. I wonder if Rhule had a Maher-type kicker, would he have tried a 60 yard FG instead of going for it? This was all too reminiscent of the Cowboys 2019 season.
Again, it was one game, but maybe it was a sign that Matt Rhule is not the guy for the Dallas Cowboys.
I was in full favor of the extension. But I was dumb. I based my opinion on the results of his final year and not the full body of work.Lol! No, he didn’t get a smooth ride until his 3rd season what games were you watching?!?
And fans were apoplectic over that extension.
Yeah. The dude spit on himself then walked around for a quarter with it running down his shirt
clown
Anyone who judges a coach on 1 game does not deserve posting privileges.
Not sure your problem but none of that had anything to do with my comment about judging a coach on 1 game is not smart.I guess I underestimated how angry Cowboys fans are over the way this season went. So many comments attacking me because I mentioned that there was not a lot of commentary about Matt Rhule the day after his big bowl game. LOL. I suppose I should stick to the thread about cutting Dak, flushing the entire team down the drain, Jerry giving up his GM job - you know, all the realistic stuff that so many others are taking about.
What about this statement is confusing to some of you?
"I'm never going to be in an arranged marriage. I'm never going to sub-contract out jobs for offense and defense. I'm always going to hire people I believe in ... and are going to do things our way."

Rhule is going to stay at Baylor. Makes good money, has full backing of boosters/AD, can run the whole operation without oversight, better job security, etc.
It's why a lot of college coaches aren't eager to jump to the NFL - they'd be leaving a better situation.
The guy just got beat yesterday he is going to Mexico.
