Agree with most of it but you can't replace that many players imo. If they cost minimally you keep as depth. Obviously if they want more you replace them.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Would like to upgrade our back-up QB this year, maybe Dalton would play for his home state for a discount.
Of course. Players love to play in their home state and take a backup job for less money. Happens all the time.

Sucks because some of these players that are going to be gone never got to really show what they can do. I was up on Colins and Woods played very well as a run stuffer. I would try to keep Looney. Jarwin needs to start.

Woods is EFA, so not sure what you are saying "sucks" about his situation. Perhaps you don't understand the different FA categories?

QB Dak Prescott Franchise for new HC to figure out if he's worth the big $$$
WR Tavon Austin JAG Gone
WR Randall Cobb Played very well and had good chemistry with Dak. Retain for similar contract or let walk
WR Amari Cooper Don't forget this guy turned this team around. Lot of lower leg injuries this year. Resign!
TE Jason Witten Resign strictly as a backup to Jarwin. If not its time to move on.
C/G Joe Looney Would love to resign him but he will prob get a nice contract somewhere else.
G Xaver Su’a-Filo JAG Gone

LB Justin March JAG Gone
LB Malcolm Smith JAG+ Played well for us in limited time. Would consider min contract LVE factor.
LB Joe Thomas JAG+ same as Malcom Smith
CB Anthony Brown Very good cover corner who gets a lot of crap around here. I would resign him.
CB Byron Jones OVERRATED! GOODBYE.
CB C.J. Goodwin JAG Gone
S Jeff Heath Underrated by most on this board. Should be resigned and get competition from draft.
S Kavon Frazier JAG Gone
S Darian Thompson JAG Gone
K Kai Forbath Retain and bring in competition
LS L.P. Ladouceur Retain. Last thing we need is problems with our long snapping.

DL Daniel Ross Resign

Exclusive Rights

OL Adam Redmond JAG Gone

We have 8 starters that aren't under contract for next year

We need new management and new front office because the whole refusing to get free agents and "we like our guys" won't cut it since we have too many starters not under contract.

Where gonna have to do what GreenBay did last off-season which is sign 5 starters in free agency.

unfortunately, that really depends on our head coach. Whether it will be a defensive head coach or offensive will determine who we go after. However, we may still be stuck with Garrett and we will draft a kicker in the first round or some injured project of some sort...

you say this like Garrett controlled the draft. The guys running the draft won't change regardless who the HC is in 2020. And it may get worse if Jerry hires a college HC.

Fleming's contract is way too pricey. 5mil option next year. I don't see "very good jobs" from him. We signed him not knowing if we had Collins for next year. We let him go.

Williams may end up as a backup swing T. Knight wasn't bad and we have him for years. They seem to like Hyatt too.

Redmond isn't going anywhere, particularly with Looney gone. He's ERFA. So cheap.

Some of your goner JAGs, particularly on the dline, may come back because we're going to need new JAGs this year too. We're so thin at dline right now.

Knight should be our swing tackle or atleast one of our backups. We can't afford to pay backups starting wages anymore.

Cooper and Jones are good but will get overpaid in FA so they will walk

I had said that we should trade Jones for a rd 2 pick at the trade deadline and used that to draft his replacement but our “great” FO never has a real plan

No, I say this like any coach worth his salt is going to have an influence over the draft. A kind of coach that Jerry will not hire rendering this thread pointless.

That's not always the case. Or let me say it like this. That's not the case here or most organizations. The HC's don't control the draft. Some have more input than others but it's input not control. Our HC, whomever it is will not have control. Garrett never had control and your post blammed him for some of our draft issues and perceived issues. I get it you don't like him so everything is his fault even though it's out of his realm of control.

Too me the DLine is an absolute mess despite the assets thrown at it the last few years. Despite his minuses they need to hang on to Bennett another year.

Love Looney. Wouldve rather seen him over Sua and Connor. Hopefully Connor solidifies the LG spot this year. If not gotta consider moving him to RT and Collins back inside. Can't constantly get beat inside like we have cause its been hindering our offense.
Sorry, Connor is not an OG. I don’t know why our moron O-line staff keeps trying to put him there. MAKE THE SWITCH WITH LA’EL ALREADY!!!!!!!

I mean is there anyone you WOULD keep? The fact you think Byron Jones is overrated makes your entire list invalid to me

Certainly will be tough to replace those 2 career picks. I mean the guy isn’t chopped liver but he’s over rated and I look back at some of huge plays the secondary gave up and # 31 can be found on many.. not near as many as 24 but he’s had his share

I would revamp entire secondary keep lewis and woods because they are under contract but Jones is gonna get overpaid and we’re already doing that enough

4 extremely awful takes.

I'm not all that big on re-signing Bennett but pretending like he didn't make plays to fit an agenda is pretty sad.

Bennett was good at being in the neutral zone before the snap, so he has that going for him...
