If you bring in a college guy I’d want a few nFL guys on the staff
Maybe even guys with previous HC experience

i agree with the Lewis interview as Rooney Rule ...

and i've done a 360 degree u-turn on Urban Meyers hire now.
Researching that college offense, that evolves with assts via Tom Herrman- Longhorns, etc.i don't think it will work in NFL and too gimmicky relying on the QB running. (shovel shuttle option) and i just like the basics of what we've started here under Kellen Moore.

And more and more, i'm researching Marvin Lewis as a possible DC here.
he ran a defense that eventually became dominant with Baltimore from 1996-2001, he ran a 4-3 scheme, and he had big power boys up the middle DT interior with Sam Adams and Tony Sirgusa.

Regarding the Broaddus tweet ..

Since the tweet Broaddus replied to was deleted, it did appear he was insinuating they would interview Lewis then hire Meyer, so it's a very understandable mistake.

Merging this thread with the featured head coach speculation thread since we now know that is not the case because several users made on-topic posts that should not be locked or removed.

if you're gonna have a Meyer, you'd better have your heir apparent HC ready and handy, because it's good indications that
Meyer may leave the game again.
it's a reason why Stoops isn't coaching anymore at either college or NFL level and had to "stoop" to the level of XFL league and coaching.
