Garrett never had a QB like Aaron Rodgers tbh. Not trying to defend Garrett here but yea it is a thing.

QB is one position. Our entire roster from oline to wr to dline and dbs are better than the packers and have been for a long time. And he had an allpro QB in Romo and still couldn’t get out of divisional round

I'd say I'm good with McCarthy as HC. Not my first choice, but he obviously knows what it takes to coach a winning team.

But I also agree--who the DC is just as important to me. When was the last time we had a defense that was feared? For that reason I'd prefer a defensive-minded HC

Dom Capers maybe? Idk he was one of his DCs in GB. Only one I can think of.

My Packers friends hated that guy, much like most of the Cowboys fans hate JG.

I'd be lying to you if I said I knew anything more about him.

An All Pro QB who came up short in playoffs due to the heroics of HOF QB Aaron Rodgers. Well, at least that one year anyway. Rodgers could very well be one of the most talented QBs to ever lace up cleats. Romo was never that guy. Also consider McCarthy never had coordinators forced on him and owners/GMs breathing down his neck and picking his brain 24/7. Again, I hate Garrett as a coach, not trying to defend him but whose to say Garrett couldn't accomplish what McCarthy did in GB with a special talent like Rodgers. Yea QB is one position but it is the most important.

We have yet to see McCarthy succeed without a HOF caliber QB.

I have a on-again off-again girlfriend whose a huge Packers fan and I think that’s one reason why I don’t want McCarthy. So excuse me if I get a little testy about this subject.

Packer fans are a fickle bunch. Everyone knows that Rogers is a dbag and hates everyone including his family. Therefore, they think their cool by also hating those that Rogers hate.

Packers fans are an emotionally fickled bunch. They don't think logically.

I'll believe you when Rogers win the Superbowl without McCarthy. Otherwise, your point is moot.

No other HC candidate has ever reached the Superbowl besides McCarthy. He is the least risky of everyone else.

Therefore, I doubt he will end up here. Probably the Giants will take him and watch him that that team to the Superbowl and we can all grumble once again why we didn't select McCarthy in the first place.

At least I’ll say McCarthy commands respect. He was able to handle one of the nfls biggest diva quarterbacks.

I think we’d getting caught up to much in the system McCarthy runs. We’ve already shown with our simplistic system we can still move the ball because of talent.

what I want to know is if McCarthy focuses on the little things to win football games. If he has his teams prepared to play. That is the reason we’ve lost so many games more than anything.

Anyone not named Garrett ... come on down. That’s the sad state of the team today. And McCarthy is a zillion times better than him. This would be a good hire. I like Meyer, but will certainly take McCarthy or McDaniels or Riley or Rhule or Saleh ... and on and on it goes. Not sure what Cowboy fans been watching for 10 years? Playoffs are on right now and any change for a real resume will be for the better. This stepson situation has been an absolute joke.

So going from a coach who can’t even make it out of the divisional round to a coach that had won a superbowl and made 4 NFC champ games doesn’t get you excited? To each their own I guess

He’s better than Garrett but there are better coaches out there.

Garrett sucks and McCarthy is just average. We can do better
Are we interviewing anyone else with NFL head coaching experience and a Super Bowl ring? McCarthy is still, imo the best choice, including the Ravens assistant coaches. Who do you want?

McCarthy would be better than Garrett so I could love with it. I’d prefer Rhule, Meyer, Roman or Harbaugh. Nothing is a sure thing and if we’re hiring an offensive coach it may depend on who he can bring as his DC as to which men we hire.
