Yeah but take a look at Vrabel...the dude oozes leadership and he was a leader on the field. Does McDaniel give you that feeling at all? He comes across as a whiny little b****.

I just think McDaniels is worth the gamble.

If it’s him or McCarthy then I would choose McDaniels all day because at least he presents some upside.

New England offenses are incredibly well coached. They just completely ran out of offensive talent.

I think the incredible coaching comes from the man upstairs, not McDaniels. I really don't see McDaniels as a guy they would even interview, but we will find out I guess. McDaniels has plenty of time to prepare after losing yesterday.

I just remember the circus he left in Denver. He royally screwed them up and was canned. Maybe he learned from his mistakes. I’d still take McCarthy over him....

after his first meeting with Jerry he'd do another Indy act.
The Indy fiasco says to me he's a quitter. Why wouldnt he run away again if things got tough.

If my team was looking for a HC and McDaniels was available - I would really hope my team would look the other way. I would have no interest in him at all.

Yet we hired a guy that never accomplished anything at all as a coordinator and kept him for another 10 years. I don’t know how anyone can watch the Pats and not credit the OC. That team isn’t just a great QB it’s an efficient group where all 11 are extremely prepared and well run. That’s a huge credit to McDaniels. Sure it’s a product of Belichick, but well designed and well called. He can manage a game clock. That already gives him an edge, never mind the Super Bowls.

Super Bowl Champs.
call that what you want but thats pretty damn successful vs what josh mcdaniels did in denver....or Garrett here.

better sure. One title w/ the GOAT is a massive underachievement. And getting bounced by the Giants after a 15-1 season is as well. But yes, better than Garrett and McDaniels for sure

Why do people think McCarthy is an underachiever but not Payton?

he is, but I still like him. And you know what his fingerprints are. Also Drew Brees is awesome, but he’s not Aaron Rodgers
