... is said to be a long-time friend of Stephen's. Within the last year, Todd Archer mentioned him as a plausible option if Red were gone.

With two SB's under his belt, would he be a candidate who would be able to get us back to a place where the staff and players are accountable to the head coach?

Everybody was saying "anybody but Garrett" but boy has that narrative changed lol. Expect the Cowboys to take a while to pick a head coach, based on his age this is probably the last coach that Jerry will ever hire.

It wasn't "Would you like John Fox?"

It was, essentially, "John Fox is a plausible candidate evidently, given what Archer has told us. If he did get the job, would he be one whose authority would be respected by Jerry enough to stop imposing himself, and causing the dysfunction that he routinely has?"
