I agree with what Troy is saying...Jerry is horrible and handled it badly.. but Troys stance is also what has caused Jerry to make his decisions based on ex players with no objectivity that support whatever their friends do.

Aikman has been going at Jerry hard since the start of this season and I’m loving it.
He’s gone at Garrett just as hard. As GM Jerry through WM has figured out the personnel side. Jerry’s biggest sin is keeping a puppet head coach like Garrett around. For Troy to now say that Jerry failed Garrett is beyond laughable. Troy is feeling bad for pushing for this firing and now wants to take the side of an ex teammate. The only thing Jerry did wrong RE: Garrett is hiring him in the first place.

We got Parcells, because Jerry wanted a stadium built

Two things can be true at once.

What ISN'T HELPFUL, imo, is for fans to look for excuses and to get cynical at critical times when their voices maybe might just matter for a change... as-if it costs us anything to lend our voice to demanding change.

Aikman basically just showed his true colors regarding this whole situation and that is completely biased.

Who isn't "biased?"

We all are biased.

But the words speak for themselves... there is inherent dysfunction in the fact that the organization had not officially separated, and yet had begun interviews.

And does anyone really maintain that Red's problem was that he wasn't giving his all?... lazy bum? I don't think so.

So, nothing wrong with those true colors as far as I can see.

Jason Garrett being hired and retained for this majy years is as much a product of the dysfunction, of not more, than any other example.

Shut up Troy.. you are annoying right now..

None of us know what on earth was going on last week and why they didn’t announce the firing until today so it’s hard to give an opinion.

It's payback for failing to make the playoffs. Garrett hung Jerry out to dry....Jerry is just paying him back...and doing it on the Eagles playoff day to steal their thunder...is just icing on the cake.

Like I said. We all are biased, @khiladi . (You, too.)

So any of us can have our opinions about keeping Red.

What's undeniable and not a matter of opinion is that normal organizations first separate from their employee, and then begin the hiring process. It more than suggests dysfunction and confusion among the decision-makers, it is irrefutable evidence.

If anybody has a right to complain his he was dealt with, it’s Wade Phillips.

And this to me is a clear example of Garrett. He will ride the gravy train, but when he gets the boot, he will use his lackeys to blame the hand that fed him.

His father has a video tribute on the Dallas Cowboys web-site and Jerry treated these guys like family and there is no way Troy can be ignorant to this reality.

It's not like anything he is saying is profound. Everyone knows the Cowboys are dysfunctional....?? It is what it is...

There is a difference between biased and COMPLETELY biased.

Troy speaks the truth. Although Garrett was a lousy coach ( Troy sticks up for him because they are friends) the organization should have fired him Monday.

No they don’t. Normal organizations have plans in place before the major organizational restructuring moves all the time.

if what Glazer says is true, Garrett basically was begging for his job and didn’t want to leave gracefully.
