Interesting and insightful segment on Urban Meyer and how he likes to develop quarterbacks. Also some good insight as to what scheme advantages do for a QB

I’d love him to come in and coach this team and I think he can help Dak make another step in the direction he’s taken as well as consistency.

Meyer is a college coach who I don't worry about transitioning to the pro's. His qualities as a coach translate to the NFL level. Whatever schemes he would run here, probably wouldnt be like what he ran in college. Spurrier and Kelly were college coaches. Meyer is a coach that coached in college

Some people say Bill Belichick is coming here.
So what will do when Bill, Urban, Matt, Greg and Jerry Rosburg all show up to be the coach?

Not to mention, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Derek Carr, Keenum, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, et al, signing a contract to QB this team?
Let's not leave out Joe Flacco, Nick Foles, and God Forbid we forget to sign Eli Manning! That's something like 11 Super Bowls!

It would be very strange for Jerry/Stephen to not give Urban a interview.
Stephen did reach out to him during the season. If they dont interview, it could be that they already know he doesnt want to coach

If he didn't want to coach i think he/agent would have made some sort of public statement, about not yet etc etc.

Opinion: Urban Meyer, Bill Cowher should be at top of Cowboys' coaching candidates list

Urban Meyer is the name on everybody’s list. Why not?

Meyer, 55, has won big at three college programs. No, he won’t be compared to Landry. His scruples will undoubtedly raise questions and he violated the unwritten code of the coaching industry two months ago by saying he would be interested in discussing the top job with the Cowboys – even while Garrett was trying to rally his squad for a late-season playoff push.

That all just might make Meyer, with three college national championships on his résumé, a great match.

Go ahead, Jerry, call him. You know he’s on your radar.

“That’s the New York Yankees,” he said during an interview with Fox’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd. “That’s the one. Great city. They got Dak Prescott, Zeke Elliott. You got a loaded team. … To me, that’s the one job in professional football that you say, ‘I got to go do that.’”

With that said, Urban Meyer has never developed a great lottery quarterback. You have 1 guy Alex Smith but then you have more of the same, Tim Tebow, Braxton Miller, etc.

Not his strongest suit

100%! Meyer just wins wherever he’s at with whatever talent he has. I think he would do well here. It was never about a system with Meyer, he just won with what he had and won nearly every big big game. He would maximize the talent we have, which would’ve been good enough easily for 13 wins this year.

Dallas wil not hire a college coach. Itll be somebody that's already been in the nfl.
