I dont think they would ask McCarthy to stay a extra day if they had their mind made up on Meyer and was just seeing what McCarthy had to offer.
Good point......plus they took him out to eat and you don’t take McCarthy out to eat unless you are pretty serious he is your guy, that is going to be one hell of a tab, LOL

My bad, are fat jokes not PC anymore?

Wait are people arguing Marvin Lewis would be a better choice?

I think most are still under the impression a Rhule, Riley, Meyer or some guy like Saleh are legit options lol

Also remember Kubiak is from Mike Shanahan zone-blocking scheme where there was a time you could gain a 1000 yards.

I’ve always liked McCarthy. Rogers was just too much of a loose cannon. I do wish they would turn over every stone however, just to make sure. The DC and ST’s coach will be just as important IMO.

LOL, whatever. MM is the new HC. Jerry needs to stop dilly-dallying around and make this announcement ASAP.
Jerry likes to dilly dilly. Lol

Hey guys, what would you all want to trade Minnesota to see if we can bring Mike Zimmer back? Is a first rounder enough, do you think?
Just put in a request to interview Stefanski. May get the ball rolling on Zimmers departure.

I get it. McCarthy is just an upgraded JG, nothing special but he is better. I'd prefer not to have him, but Jerry sees Super Bowl on his resume and easily controlled. Thinks he's killing two birds with one stone.
Everyone says MM is a yes man? He butted heads with management in GB on many occasions. Doesnt sound like someone who takes things lying down.

i have never liked the walsh offense. I really would like Matt Rhule he feels like he could be a young parcells. I think it time for a rebuild and a do over with rhule in charge.

I understand that is never happening here so if they are going to pay the qb and the wr then they had better get someone who knows how to use them in the nfl because this is probably around a 3 year window with this line getting old before this era is over too.

I get not liking him....but after watching the piece with Peter King...he's always been into analytics...its how he got his start. He just didn't fully develop it in Green Bay. As I said the other day, Andy Reid had a similar background(multiple Championship games and 1 SB appearance) and now people think he's the biggest stud in KC. You don't know if he reinvented himself, etc.
Nor do I want to find out. Andy Reid was innovative in Philly. He didnt reinvent himself. Philly was just impatient and didnt appreciate the success he brought them. Reids system has made McNabb, Foles, Alex Smith, Wentz into high level QB's. McCarthy's lack of innovation drove him out of town in GB.

We need a guy with authority to lead these men. Marshmallow man McCarthy will just be Jones puppet. He will accept Kellen Moore calling plays. He will accept Jerry hiring his Defensive Coordinators. He will basically be what JG was...... A neutered HC who is in his position to take all of the blame for the failings so Jerry can sit in his luxury box playing tummy sticks with Cris Christy, force his way into the coaches meetings and escape the blame yet take the credit if we do win.

Our issue is well know. Listen to Aikman and everyone who knows anything. The problem is the organizational structure. Nothing about McCarthy changes this problem.

I would want no part of Saleh. I've read a few articles that say he's the hottest coach that will probably fail.

Rhule would be my guy. But I am a risk taker and an outside the box type of guy.

The best I can say about McCarthy is I can live with it. Barely.
