I don’t buy into all the Rodgers praise here.
Yes he’s good, but he is not without blame in the problems up in GB.
So M&M man wasted AR? Anymore than JG wasted Romo.

What I like about this selection is that MM has been away from the league for one year to refresh and get a new retrospective for coaching. He has watched the games on his time off, he has drawn up new schemes for offensive plays.....in short, he wanted another chance to prove he can do a good job. Let's see what he can do, see what new wrinkles he can bring to our predictable gameplan.

Look, I hated this guy when he was in GB because he was a big reason why GB was so good and nobody hates GB more than me. He holds his players accountable has exploded on officials in games, something we never saw from Red.

Disappointing if they took him because of his willingness to keep the current offensive staff. I give this 3 years, tops.

Great...we just got Clapper 2.0....thanks JJ, but some how I/we all knew you couldn't be trusted to make the right damn decision on this. I pray, you at least go get us a fire and brimstone DC....

Once McCarthy gets a load of Jerry's GM'ing he may miss having an inactive one.

I will never forget the look on wade phillips face at that sunday draft wrap up press conference in 2007.

his eyes were huge and he said "Jerry is a wheeler dealer"

it was like even though he knew he didn't really know until he experienced it.

Aaron Rodgers and him hated each other. I read an article that said Rodgers would change 1/3 of the plays called in to him just out of spite. Sounds like there is a lot more to the story in Packers then you know. I wish I could go back to the Chiefs board the day after Reid's hiring. Probably a lot of people like you there calling Reid the same names you are calling McCarthy.
Yeah, Rodgers also said McCarthy had the lowest football IQ of any coach he’s been around.

Rodgers is a smart player. Even if you think he’s a total jerk, that’s a pretty damning quote.

As for Reid, he hasn’t won anything...

If he never wins a ring despite having a stud like Mahomes, will these playoff appearances still be something to be proud of?

Packers fans hated McCarthy just as much as we hated Garrett.

We'll see.

Pretty vanilla hire.

He does have pretty much the same record as Sean Payton, so there's that.
Of course you don’t like it. You don’t like anything the Cowboys do.

Very convincing. Doesn't make my vibe/feeling any better. Does anyone have anything nice to say about this dude?

Wait, Jerry didn't even talk to Saleh, Roman, or Bieniemy? I'm shocked. Actually, I said last week he wouldn't even consider them.

Jerry got his retread. At least this one has actually won something.
When I started seeing the tweets and reports around Friday that said Jerry wanted a proven NFL coach, I thought that the college guys and current NFL coordinators were out. I actually thought we were going to wind up with Mike Zimmer and I think they were reaching out to his agent and Minny made the announcement he would be kept. If for no other reason that I like the McCarthy hire, it is that if Jerry was asking McCarthy to install the puppet strings, he would have said no thanks and went to one of the other several teams he's interviewed with. McCarthy obviously wanted to accept the challenge of working with Jerry over Cleveland, NYG and Carolina. Either that or the Nick and Sams dinner. For people outside of Dallas, Nick and Sams is THE Steakhouse!
