Any article that condemns is embraced by one side. The other side supports anything opposite.
If these people actually READ THE ARTICLE, they’d see that it rips both Rodgers and McCarthy equally. The writer had zero agenda and collected quotes from dozens of sources close to the team.

Being too lazy to read and trashing the source is just easier.

yes, the number 1 d that also wasn’t there the year before. The d he built, because he’s a complete HC. How did Garrett’s D’s always look when the pressure was on? Because McCarthy’s stunk it up aside from 1 SB run.
Screw Parcells. This guy did next to nothing while he was here and you are praising him like he did. He was such a complete head coach that he had 0 division titles, 0 playoff wins, one season under .500 and one season with 10 wins in 4 years.

Okay never mind, after doing some research and seeing how active and self-reflective he’s been during his time off, I’m kind of intrigued by the hire.

Seems he took lessons learned in Green Bay and has tried to evolve as a coach. The fact that he’s turned to analytics and trying to make good on previous mistakes, this could be good! Let him bring in his own guys and I’ll be on board, hopeful!

Look, I wanted Riley or Meyer. But we knew that wasn’t going to happen.
There have been threads and posts created during the season to suggest a LOT of 'we' did not get that memo. And you can add a couple more names to that list like Payton also.

"Riley will dump Oklahoma for a dream job in Dallas!" Pure hopeful speculation.

"Meyer is sitting in Jones' suite! He's coming to Dallas!" Ditto.

"Payton has a house in DFW! He's coming to Dallas!" Stop the insanity.

Crazy stuff, especially considering who does the hiring and his track record with specific types of head coaches. :p

The topper was folks fixated on Shannon Sharpe's 2 first-rounder, 2 second-rounders and $8 million proposal for Payton. It's like Sharpe and Jerry Jones went on a Johnnie Walker Blue weekend bender together. :muttley:

the man who salvaged and restored the mustang did far more than the one who added some jet fuel so it goes a little faster

Parcell can't win 10 games with nobody. Where you are getting this bs from.
.

Parcells won 10 games with Quincy Carter as QB and Troy Hambrick as RB. That's pretty nobody to me.

That was probably some of the best coaching Parcells did during his tenure in Dallas.

Why jump the gun? Why not take more time? Expand the search? 2 interviews and then hire?

After McCarthy's firing from Greenbay.

McCarthy:
I go back to really the first thing my wife said to me, the first moment Jessica and I were alone and talking about what happened. She said, 'Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm relieved for you.' I kinda gave her a look. And she said, 'The last two or three years, you haven't been here physically or mentally. Every family loses their husband, father during the season, but you've been gone the last two offseasons. I know you're not happy with the way things were going there, and it's beat the hell out of you. It's beat the hell out of you the last couple of years. It's been hard to watch it.' That was a couple hours after I got home, and that was the reality, that was the reality that I had to identify with, and that was real.

If you don't hate everything about the Cowboys you will read this and see it for what it is...If you're a hater you won't even understand this paragraph.

He has a history of success in this league, which is promising. But I definitely dislike some of the stuff that came out following his dismissal from Green Bay.
Good points, but I think he was butting heads a lot with Rodgers. He won't have that issue with Dak. And he looks like an Elvis impersonator.

I'm willing to give this guy a shot. I'm hopeful about the coaches he's going to bring in.
