Supposedly MM liked some things Kellen was doing, concept-wise. Also, in an interview was talking about shifts n motion...sounds to me Kellen fit right in.

This is awesome for KM because he gets to learn the west coast from a good coach, and this will only strengthen his resume and knowledge moving forward.

Only concern is the running game coaches, for me.

A first year OC has been called a genius and has one of the top ranked offenses in the NFL.

Only on this board would that be considered a negative. Its going to be crickets around here when McCarthy does a presser and sings Moore's praises.
With JG and Linehan out of the way I wonder if Moore will implement his offense. last season looked like a tweaked version of the old offense....

maybe McCarthy will have some influence on him.

It was just politely informed that some coaches would not be leaving

LOL, no
We are Cowboys fans not Garrett groupies like you
There will be crickets from his homies on CZ when he doesn’t get a HC NFL job and falls on his face if he ever does

Its usually a mix if the HC and OC are both offense guys. Considering he was a first year guy I thought Kellen Moore did well, how Moore and McCarthy mix is going to be really interesting to watch.

The really important thing is that McCarthy chases our last Special Teams Coach out of the building with a chainsaw and hockey mask, but his interface with Moore is something to watch.

It's hard to judge Moore with Jason Garrett aboard.

Also, I do not want Kellen Moore calling the offense.

I want Mike McCarthy calling the offense and I want Mike McCarthy answering for the decisions made in game with play calls good or bad.
Moore can answer the phone from Jerrah's luxury box.

"Hello? Yes sir. I will tell him."

Mike..Godfather line 1'.

So it begins.

Absolutely. It starts with the HC and everything needs to go through him. I dont want to see any more blame placed on assistant coaches. If MM doesn't like what is happening on the field he demands adjustments. Garrett liked to stay with it and then play the blame game. Made me sick.

Mike will call the offense.

I hope.

I'm just worried they'll do the circus of letting someone else call plays to take the negative attention off McCarthy and then when we have no other choice they finally make him call plays.

If Witten is hired as a coach then I expect McCarthy to probably be out of here in 3 years tops anyways.

If Witten is hired I will puke. I’m tired of him.

I was honestly saying, a lot, that Jerry won’t let a new Hac hire his own staff

I hope I’m proven 100% wrong

Mike will have free rein. I've said for months these are stephen's decisions. All the ties to jerry are now gone. Players to coaches now all have stephen's stamp on them. I expect free agent moves as many players will be culled. Should set us up well for draft.

I'm more concerned with the OL coach since McCarthy will call plays

Well, those that believe Jerry is a meddler are not going to like this. Doesn't fit their narrative.

Yes, I’m sure McCarthy is going to have hand picked Colombo and Kitna too . And lol and people saying McCarthy will praise Moore. What is he supposed to say to the media??

Moore staying is definitely not the worst thing, it just signifies the dysfunction of our ownership. Owners of winning teams don’t meddle like this.

I think best case scenario is McCarthy brings in his own vet offensive guy to share the O-coordinator title with Moore. Or you can give 1 the “passing game coordinator” title like Rod/Richard.

Felt pretty sure about it too,

btw I’ve only heard admiration around the league for Moore, yes he had some growing pains but from the National media to the inside sources almost everyone believes he’s a bright young coach who should be retained. Whatever Mike wants to do is fine with me though

starts at about 1:05

Moore had the #2 offense in the entire NFL led by Dak Prescott.

It’s McCarthy’s choice, but it’s a suggestion none the less. Richards talking with them,Moore talking with them. That’s not a HC with his staff, that’s the old staff. If Mike really thinks highly of Moore, good then that’s different, but let’s not be keeping a bunch of the stuff dragging us down because the boss is asking Mike..”Hey do you think it’s possible Moore could help you?” That’s where those things start. Why no div playoff wins in 24yrs. Can’t let Jerry massage the staff way he likes it...undermines his voice in locker room and on sidelines, like happened to Garrett. Hope Mike is honest....if he doesn’t want Moore, say no and present your case and why,and other options. Jerry will accept it then. That’s how you work with him. You win some, and lose some, but negotiate like Bill did and you get more respect in authority with Jones and team.
