1. Big need - either draft or preferably FA - because they need to be ready day 1.
2. Gregory - get clean or NFL be green. One of the two - because that's a prefect fit. Armstrong could benefit from this as well.
3. LVE - please be healthy...because you and Jaylon can excel without have to shed blocks consistently. Jaylon - lateral movement is your friend - please work on it.
4. Byron needs to be signed
Joe Jackson could be a good utility type DE in a multiple front scheme. Good size, incredibly strong and a high motor player.

Spence is probably the only one we'd go after. As he will come super cheap.

I would take all four
I'd take all four too because the fit a need on this team, and all have pedigree. I really like Klein tho.

Even though Nolan cut his teeth by running 3-4 defenses, it's unlikely we transition to that anytime soon with the way our personnel looks. Seems like an easy call that we'll stay with a 4-3.

In looking at what Nolan really like in his players, it amounts to the following:

1. Big bodies in the middle to help take on blockers and keep his LB's clean
2. Small, quick DE's (260 lbs. or so) valuing pure speed and bend over size
3. Linebackers who are quick and can run. Blitzing, ability to track backs and TE's off the ball
4. Cornerbacks that are long and rangy

With that in mind, I would expect our DT's to get beefed up a bit. Guys like Javon Kinlaw, Leki Fotu, Marvin Wilson fit the profile of run stuffers who could help bolster our inside

You mean we may not draft DEs that run a 4.8 40 anymore? Say it didn’t so!

I have been hearing how it’s ok if you run a 4 minute 40 if you are quick twitch. How has that worked out for the most part? Epic fail.

As a side note we should have kept SOFT Taco to play a 3 man front at times and mix it up.

Not having a big, fat NT isn't the issue. Don't look now, but Dallas has had a top 10 run D in terms of YPG for the last four seasons. Yes, including 2019.
Rod is gone.move on with your life.the run defense ranked around the mid to low teens for most of the season

I want a fat, fat ******* clogging up running lanes.
I’d like two fat *** bodies clogging up the middle and Irving resigned to pass rush on passing downs. McCarthys gotta respect that guy. He almost single handedly beat Green Bay twice

I want thinner and lighter players in the middle to slip through the cracks!

Do you think they resign Quinn and add big DTs in FA and the draft?

I could see that with Quinn fitting the profile of a quick up the field rusher. If we keep Quinn and add size to the middle of the line with a vet free agent that could help the defense alot come draft time. We need help in multiple areas and that could cover our bases up front in case the draft doesnt play out the way we hope as far as value where we are picking.

Don’t expect a great defense guys. Better but you’re not going to get a big mans interior with Nolan. Better players though he’ll draft I can assure you, tougher too or at least ask for than Rod.
