because McCarthy sees a first year OC finish with the #1 offense in the league in passing yards, 6th in scoring, 5th in rushing

he had 2 1k wrs, one 800 plus wr, a 1400 yard running back..

not bad for using garetts old offense and making it better in one season..

it had some warts sure he went away from the run at times and also against the best defenses had struggles but what team doesnt typical have their numbers drop against the best defense they face..?

IF MM sees something and has no issues, why not? should we let a future great hc go? not saying he will be but we let Sean Peyton go an look what happened..

think of it this way at one point KShannahan and Mcvay were both coaching in Washington at the dame time and were let go during a coaching purge. im betting theyd like to have either back as HC right now..

Seems like Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett situation all over again. Atleast McCarthy is a better coach than wade phillips and actually won a superbowl.

Because Magic Mike will be calling the plays. Pizza Boy won’t be saying anything but “Yes sir” over the headset. McCarthy will groom himself a mini me and Jerruh won’t have to eat a contract. Win win for everyone.

I think he did a pretty admiral job for his first year as an offensive coordinator AND being handicapped by Garrett. I'm more than happy to have him hang around.

Why does it seem Jerry wants to keep Kellen Moore...

Having all these experiences coaches and keeping Moore doesnt make any sense

It's pretty simple. Now that his son Jason is gone he needs a new son to take under his wing to groom him as the next hire after McCarthy. Get ready to have 10 years of Moore once McCarthy is fired.

It will be a step backwards for Kellen Moore. MM will call the plays on game day.

Kellen Moore = Jerry Jones next Jason Garrett
Probably so
But he also did a solid job in his first year and working with MM can be a real benefit
He also knows the strengths of the players so don’t see any downside to keeping him around

MAkes sense. Kellen represents the new and fresh that McCarthy says he wants to adopt and what a lot of these contenders have.

Kellen Moore should really be applauded. If he was anywhere else people would want to hold on to him even probably consider him a Head Coach. In his first year ever calling plays he had one of the best offenses in the league. And he had to do it with Garrett's Tecmo Bowl playbook. If McCarthy wants him here that tells me he's smart enough to be a head coach in this league.

Head coach in a few years after he sabotages McCarthy. Jerry wants the credit for finding him.
