The Giants requested a 2nd interview with McCarthy but he was in Dallas and declined. Maybe that's why Jerry didn't let him leave and decided not to interview anyone else. Saw this info of the Giants message board.

Jerry saying 5 head coaching jobs would open up for Garrett just lets you know that if he had the power he would facilitate Garrett getting another job. Since he doesnt control it his bs got exposed and now he realizes he wasted 10 years with garbage. Jerry is just as much of a POS as Garrett is. Jerry isnt a coward though, I'll give him that much.

Ben Macadoo then comes here as OC

Pat shurmur goes to Washington as OC

talk about a circle of musical chairs in the east and for that matter the nfl..

I mean Rivera hires scott turner as his OC Norvs son lol comes from Carolina

Also, to point out Garrett’s next stop after Dallas was, the Giants. He had that connection, once again through his father. Jim Garrett played with them and was a DC for them in the 70s, meaning he had connections to the Mara family.

So Garrett being connected to the Giants is just another example of his Father’s connections with the Mara family. The Garrett’s basically grew up in Jersey.
